Whats your FJ40 wheelbase?

Apologies for reviving this thread from the dead but......I have a specific question (probably irrelevant) but here goes:

How does the longer wheelbase accommodate high speed handling for the FJ40? Looking to stretch the wheelbase to around 96inches particularly in a desert racing context!

Isn't 96 inches the stock wheel base? The longer wheel base just makes the vehicle more stable and easier to control. You get more time to react and make corrections with a longer wheel base.

more stable at higher speeds i have noticed, you dont feel as top heavy if thats the right word??

You need more than 96 in for a desert racing environment..

Unsure how much more stability you have, but it is definitely a nicer ride!

I have heard when you flip an offset spring pack it can shorten the life of the springs. The reason the short side is to the fixed point to better absorb shock? Has anybody had issues with breaking springs also has it ruined the ride?
