wow...i think I'd want someone driving in front of me with a street sweeper to keep any spec of dust from reaching that engine. Amazing

And new bolts for the tranny-to-bellhousing attachment point:

The new bellhousing bolt 91619-61240 is once again another replacement bolt that is a bit too short. It is replacing the original discontinued bolt with "the next best thing". Check them out compared to your old ones. They are shorter. Yes they will work, but I didn't like how they just barely fit. They also make catching the first thread of the bolt extremely difficult when first trying to mate up the bellhousing. I ended up using my old ones.

Interesting. There is no supersession. These are the correct bolts via the EPC as well as the original paper book. And they are the same for the H55F as well as the H42F.

:hmm:

Ok a little technicality!
But either way very nice.

Callin' it like I see it!

Delancy is correct.

You had "correct" options.

Busting your chops.

Love the build and thread since it exemplifies the nth degree you've instilled (or infected) so many of us with, even though it does reveal how myopic most our endeavors are, in comparison.

If you're gonna be a part of a crazy mo' fo' club, no better one I know to be involved in, nor any better President and poster child than the junior Shaman. :)

Onur, you're probably the best person for this question. on the top of the upper rear hatch there are the holes for the washer fluid tube and the defroster wire (think that's all that goes there). I'm missing both of the grommets that should be there. According to our surly friend in NM (CDan is an awesome guy) the parts are NLA. Any suggestion on what would be best to use in its place. Figure the FJ60 parts guru was the best to ask.

Not having these in place is causing quite a bit of water to accumulate in the upper hatch. Don't think they're a simple round shape where I could just use a standard grommet...maybe need some sort of caulking?

Thanks.

Reevesci's got the right parts.

They are not available separately from the harness they came with.

What would I use? Not sure. Never had to find a replacement.

I can do some searching and see what I find.

Go ahead and put me down for a set if you can do your magic =)

ps - please prohibit K from posting parts requests!

I bought these several years ago for Ole Blue's rebuild... Never used them..

J

Ok. . .I'll start the bidding: $10.00 plus unlimited Skype access during our honeymoon =)

I think you should auction those babies =)

s***, J could probably retire if you and I get into a bidding war. FML.

I need to do something, i can capture a few oz of water in the inside of the hatch when it rains....kind of a big problem when you live in Seattle. J, Onur - will greatly apprecaite any help you can provide in tracking some replacements now.

S, don't drive the market price up on me. :flipoff2:

K - roger that and no worries. Your need is a necessity, mine is obviously OCD =) If J's willing to give them up, they're all yours, buddy. If you can get me the part numbers, I'll put some feelers out for both of us.

hah! i don't think J's planning on parting with the new ones....have a feeling I'll be going the used route on these. I know that Tor couldn't even find one of the part numbers at all...per CDan the other hasn't been available for a while.
