I would like to think my mechanical skill are at least average.
Always on the hunt for a good deal I found a 1987 60 in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Seeing the pictures and knowing rust was involved the plan was to go see it and determine if I was up to the challenge. After talking to a couple of guys I trust and some introspection I make the decision to pass on it.
Roof is rusted and some rust under the fender flairs but it does have an ARB front bumper, duel swing away rear bumper and what appears to be an in tact interior.
Original engine runs and it was supposedly going up and down the road just four months ago.

I guess the purpose of the post is to ask if you would take this on and just how tough it would be?

Here are a few stills from a video on Facebook Marketplace.

Hell no. You’ll end up hating it. Hating it
Yup I'm seeing that severe A pillar rust and thinking that's a huge red flag. He made a good call to pass on it. Mine's barely got the paint bubbling right by the seam sealer and I'm already dreading it.

Couple minutes with a reciprocating saw and not only do you solve the rust issues, but ya got yourself a convertible too!

Some usable parts there if they let you haul it off for free.
