What is the value of a rust free FJ60 "shell"? (1 Viewer)

I am going to be robbing the trans/transfer case/alxes/steering/leaf springs from a FJ60 to give new life to a FJ40. Rather than crushing the remaining bits, I'd like to see them go to save other cruisers.

What is a FJ60 shell worth?

It's worth good money if u get the right buyer. I was looking for one prior to getting my new truck. I would have paid a grand or more quite easily

Memphis, TN. ...so I guess that would be closer to east coast, but I have the ability to load it on anybody's trailer or possibly deliver it.

A rust free body on the east coast is more of a rarity, so it should fetch a premium.

I would prefer to sell/trade the body as a whole if I could.

Also, I am in no rush to get rid of it. I have an indoor storage spot for it. If somebody needs to wait until after snow melts to come get it, that could be arranged.

Please don't crush it. You would be doing a disservice to the community.
I picked up a cali body and paid 1200 for it last year.
And it will be the best money I ever put into my truck.

Agreed... here in the northeast you should be able to sell it... I would think $1000-ish for the body....is the frame rust free too? If so then sell the 2 together for $2000 maybe

I have a rusting - and I mean RUSTING white 87 FJ60 that needs a new body. If you're talking $1000 - I'll take it. I have family in KY; can arrange something until they travel to NOLA again in the late spring/early summer. What's a realistic price you're thinking of at this point?

Point of reference: I sold an original New Mexico 1987 FJ60 perfect body and frame, with axles, rims--basically everything except for the engine/tranny/xfer for $1000. That was 3 years ago.
