What is the value of a rust free FJ60 "shell"?

And this kind of rig needs a cool motor, something unique. Don't be a sheep and go the Chevy V8 route.

Twin turbo supra motor could be cool...

BRILLIANT!!!

Or turbo 1fz to keep it Cruiser...

I concur. If it were me, I would tuck the bumpers and shave the headlight washers and side marker lights.

BTW, I hate you for having that suspension. I've been trying to find Jag IFS and IRS for the '53 F-100 I'm building. We have a couple '88 XJ-6s at the junkyard I work at; I'm hoping their similar enough to be able to make work.

Hey Ridge Runner, I found pics of what was described as a 1989 XJ6 front suspension ...and the crossmember is way different. It is not as low and flat where it would mate up to another frame. If you were willing to cut/weld the crossmember to look like the earlier one, it still might work though.

I think that the '87-'89 will still work. My parts interchange program says that it can serve as a replacement all the way back to '69, you just have to mix and match parts.

Yeah, some of new stuff interchages with old. Late-model sealed ball-joints bolted into place on my 1960 jag....no more crazy shims.

It is supposed to be warm this weekend...with a little luck, I will have a small block chevy putting some weight on those front springs.

I didn't get the motor in...I was feeling sick.

But I did surf the 'net and found something wonderful.....Corvette wheels fit on jaguars! 205/70/15 front tires

84 vette wheels on an XJS :)

One of the co-owners at ACC converted his 60 series into a 2WD hotrod. He still plans on lowering it some more, but here are some pics.

Any detail on what they did with the front suspension?

Don't know what ACC used but a Crown Vic front assembly is a hot ticket in the pick up world. They are everywhere. Complete suspension, steering and cross member all in one package, tons of aftermarket support. Put a 4 bar panhard spring/bag in the rear and you can build a rig that corners like a big top heavy sports car. That blower must sound great spooling up under there.

Honestly I think for now, he just heated his stock springs until they dropped a little. His eventual plan has not come to fruition yet.

Actually talked specifics with him this weekend and he says he just reversed the order of the leafs in the pack.

Then how does he have 5 lug wheels? I though he was using IFS, so no leafs? It doesn't look like there are any front leaves at all in the pics.
