Anyone seen a Method 316, 17x8 on a 100 series? Curious if they sit the way Rock Warriors with the 10mm spacer do. Also curious why I don’t see a lot of cruisers with them, are they ugly and I just don’t realize it 🤔?

Stock wheels are +60mm offset, RW’s are +50mm, with a 10mm spacer that’s +40. What are 316’s?

I almost pulled the trigger on methods but was decided on the 703 which was a +25 offset. I think the 316 is a 0 offset. I’ve seen these on cruisers and they look dope. I had trd tundra wheels powder coated and kinda wished I had done the methods after the fact

Also, I should add I’m hoping to clear a 285/70R17, and it looks like people pull that off with Rock Warriors at stock height, this probably isn’t the right thread, it’s early, apologies.
I'm running that size tire KO2 on my 17x8 +30 offset.

I just last month installed Nokian Outpost AT's in LT285/70R17 on Rock Warriors with 1.25" spacers for my LX470 that's stock on AHC. Slight rubs that I'm not too worried about. Audible rubs have only happened when I've been backing up over a driveway slant with the wheels fully turned or going over certain speed bumps. Visibly, these two photos' dark areas show the spots of the rubs.

17x8 316s are also 25 offset according to the website, are your 703s 8” wide too?

I didn’t get either, and you’re right, they make 0 and 25 in most their wheels. My bad. Rw offset and factory wheel offset is only 10 difference . Why wouldn’t 285/70/17 fit if 275/70/18 fits with nearly all those offsets (60, 50, 25)

On our application RW’s require a minimum 1/4” (≈6mm) spacer so in reality the offset is at least 44mm. As seen above when you use a 1.25” (≈32mm) spacer the offset goes to +18 and you start having rubbing issues with 285/70’s.

Don’t a bunch of the guys using the rw wheels use .75-1” spacer instead of 1.25. Coulda sworn that’s what I was seeing on the threads addressing the rw wheels

1.25" is the most popular spacer size so that's usually what gets used. I've read here that you need at least 1" if you want to use the flat caps. I don't know of anyone using 3/4" on RW's.

U Right it was 1” guys were getting boras since they are built to order. Can’t imagine .25 inch being the magic difference between rub tho lol

I have a 2005 LX470 w/ stock AHC. I'm about to make an appointment for tires and wheels. I wanted Methods but they couldn't get it so going with a Fuel Vectors and Wildpeaks A/T3W. Can I fit 275/70/17 or 285/70/17 without lift/mods? I could get 275/70/18 I believe but they said I should be able to get down to 17 inch wheels without issue.

Problem with tires is no two of the same sizes from different manufacturers will be the same ACTUAL size ,
ie. bfg ko2 runs way small
yoko g003 run pretty big
etc

Depends on offset. Make sure they fit the 100 series front hubs first.

My 2005 Lexus Lx 470 , has 305/50//20 all around. Up the rim size from standard . Do problems been this way 10 years . Would like wider on rear but need to do homework .

I'm new to the LC game and took the time to go through this whole thread setting up a statistics :-D I might have double counted a couple times as I didn't take a detailed look at the member posting, but the trend still seems to be clear: 33.5" seems to be a good upper limit without expecting too many problems.

35" will rub, 35x12.5 with 1/4" spacer
35" on 17" only with body lift

So my target would now be 295/75-16 or 285/75-16. I used to drive Falken Wildpeak AT3W on my van, now I want to move to Mickey Thomson. Will also be installing a 2" OME, Ironman or Slee lift shortly.

A question that hasn't really been answered a lot:
In order to not have serious rubbing issues (I don't care about the "regular pinch weld hack") AND have the tire in best case 1/2'-1' out of the wheel wells, do I
a) go for a different offset or would spacers be better? or
b) it's not possible at all as going that far out will either way rub...?

I run 285/75/r16 with stock wheels.....no offset needed.

Note: the 295/75-16 are a reletive rare size (at lest all-terrain cooper's here in CA). I'd check availability before setteling on size.

wanting to revive this thread... hoping someone has run/attempted to run 285/70/R18's on their rigs? Currently running these on my 200
