Con or chem trails?

I'm sure it's con - we see a lot of contrails across Nevada - I wanted to catch it coming over a mountain, but was too slow...

Thanks for your thoughts Mike - I wasn't looking for sympathy - but, 'ppreciate it, nonetheless - Still leaving in the morning for the rest of our trip - my Son-in-Law will have to set up my tent and all the other work for me!! :hmm:

Well... an update... while hiking, on Wednesday, I tripped and steadied myself with my trekking poles and felt like I had driven a very sharp spear up my right elbow. Worst pain I've ever experienced... but, I'm happy to say, it doesn't hurt much of the time... only if I make certain motions. So, now I have a vague inkling of how my Father felt when he was hit in the right elbow, during the Breakout at Saint Lo, on July 27, 1944. For anyone interested... check out my Father's story in the Veterans' Highway thread in Chit-Chat.

But, given the fact that I was sure I had ruptured a ligament, I went to the ER this morning and confirmed that I have an avulshion... e.g. I tore a ligament loose from my elbow to my tricep - it will take 8 weeks for it to heal itself... assuming it's not too bad... so, I have to see another orthopedist and get an MRI of my elbow/tricep... the ER doctor did confirm that it hurt like hell... here's a picture, for those of you who enjoy my photography.

That looks horrible! I hope it isn't as painful as it looks. But, it's not so bad having the young bucks do all the heavy work is it?

I'm going to have to get back over to chit-chat to catch up. I have never looked at chit-chat before the Veterans Highway was started. By the way, I haven't forgotten about posting about my Dad. I'm just struggling trying to find the pictures I want. This morning I found one of his Navy pics. Now I just need to find one in his later years before he passed. I already found info about the ship he was on, but now need to correlate when he went on board to the ships history time line.

Don

Its ordinarily not nearly as painful as it looks... just when I hit a certain position... then it's every bit as painful as it looks.Hopefully, the MRI will show that it will be self-healing - otherwise... another surgery... but probably arthoscopic.

Post up about your Dad when you are ready Don... RIGHT HERE

Continued "training" my man "Fred"!!.....He, despite my earlier misgivings, has mastered the art of Bed-liner removal...;)

Danny - Sorry to see you are in "Sickbay".....Welcome back...Hope to see you post a few words about the adventure!!! PICs???

You missed it Jeff - see post 8927, above... me thinks Fred may be a bad influence on you... I hope you aren't drinkin' Fred's portion of your magic potion...

Yeah, Med school gave him quite an insight into the amount of pain I told him I felt... I told him I thoiught I had ruptured a ligament from my elbow to my tricep and he said, "you have an avulshion"... I said, "what's an avulshion?" and he said "a rupture"...

I felt somewhat underwhelmed by his depth of knowledge

I figured those pics were just the "teaser" portion of "things to come"! Looks like a great time was had by all....!

You know what they call the guy who graduates last in Med school?...... Doctor!

You need to keep your kitchen cleaner! You, sir, have a roach infestation!;)
