Send the top and I'll stick some windows in it for you.....

Thanks for the offer mate. But I think the frieght to and from would be more than a new top. :)

I was out and about yesterday arvo and found myslf a hard top in decent condition so I might try to get that on for the rest of the wet season.

kinda late but my computer was down so i couldn't load pic's, with in two weeks i installed a new weber 38mm carb, new dui hei distribitor, new 4 row rediator, new clutch master and slave...

Loaded it up behind a budget truck in Phoenix, AZ and drove it to its new home in Los Gatos, CA. I hate moving trucks, scarier to drive then a 40 with death wobble!

Capped the ends of my bumper- now I just need to paint it.

Replaced my SM465 shifter cane with the stock LC 3-spd tranny shifter cane. Unbelievable difference! Much better feel to the shift, shifts more quickly and engages better, and the shifter knob is no longer under the steering wheel when in Lo gear. Wish I would have done it this way initially as it actually makes the cruiser better to drive.

Also finished the gauge cluster rebuild, new speedo, cleaned all the glass, painted the front, back and touched up the printing/needles on the gauges and did the light mod. Much, much better.

Well last week I brought it home... :p This week I just stared at it a lot contemplating what to do first. :hhmm: :wrench::steer:
(Maybe flip the bezel would be good):whoops:

get some hood hardware before you ruin a pretty hood. Nice 40.

Pulled the engines/axles/body out of storage

After a 3 month slumber, pulled Chia out of storage. Needed to get to the axles so the body sitting on top of the trailer needed to come off. Put it over on the grass for now, the axle is in the garage, ready for a cut/turn.

Painted some rims and hub caps. Should have just painted the whole tire. They are beyond dry rotted, but have tubes and work for the garage. It came with the beauty rings, I think I will keep them.

masking tape...........:D:D:D

or tire paint............:grinpimp:

looks good..........w/beauty rings..........what year caps?????

Caps should be 61, 40 is a 62 but 61 mfg date, tires are beyond trash, they have dry rot cracks that might go all the way through, but made it no need for taping off. Once it is close to road ready will likely go 33x10.50.

I also today pulled the steel diamond plate floor, cut out the rotted floor under it and put the diamond plate back down. a PO put the plate down and some black caulk down, but did not weld the sides. SO what was a salvagable floor was no longer. Must have been water based caulk since the rot was the worst under the stuff they put to I guess glue them together. Welded the lip but still need to weld it all the way around.

Today was an every vehicle day. First, washed and waxed the Fusion. Then, rebuilt brake master cylinder on the 40 and detailed the seats, dash, etc.

Started getting the new seats ready to go into the piggy tomorrow.

I like the paint Droopz.

Is that ADF camo green?

As for windows for your top, cut out the holes, and if you can get some lexan for windows, you can screw them in using wood or aluminium bar on both sides of the vinyl. Of course, then it'd be a semi-rigid top rather than a soft top...

Nice rig.

Rebuilt the truck avenger carb, new paint job, new rear guard cut, new tailgate, removed body lift and test fitted the old soft top that came with it for the first time. Not really very happy with it as it kills so much vision.

Next week should be new 75 series front springs in her to push the diffs out a bit and fix the shackle angles.
