Typically this place is like thanksgiving dinner, we leave our politics and religion at the door, but since you’re new here…

It would appear that the dark lord tempted you into calling an FJ40 an “FJ” which is generally how one refers to an FJ Cruiser.
The kingdom above refers to our chariots as FJ40’s, 40’s, trucks, girlfriends/mistresses, money pits, “better than hanging at a bar”, LC’s etc…

Also, be on the lookout for a demon who will try to get you to flip your bezel upside down…
This dark and insidious beast is known as BeBEZELbub.
Truth be told, lol

Been running the truck in the garage to tune a bit more on timing and IAC for the Sniper but saw a small puddle underneath on the carpet. Turns out this only drips when the “WARM PULL” is in the off position. If you pull, you get heat and the drip stops…luckily I have a second heater valve. More surprised is actually caught the drip in the pic. 85* today.

First drive! 10 miles to cars and coffee this morning at Katie’s in great falls VA.
Good times, took the dog. Truck needs some fine tuning, a bit scary at 38mph I still need to change my leaf springs. Not sure which route to take.

Charlie dog approves.

Looks great.

Do you have any pictures of your winch plate over the Saginaw box?
I will take a pic for you.

Items needed:
1” U Chanel

The process is as follows:
Cut U Chanel to length,
drill holes corresponding to winch plate in U Chanel.
Insert bolts and weld permanently
Bolt u Chanel to winch plate.
Place assembly on frame rail
Tack said u Chanel to top of frame.
Remove plate and weld on to frame.

I had to stack 2 on top of each other to clear the box.

Grind top of frame rail.

That makes sense.
Simple as well

Looks like you broke the outer shaft housing with the threads that fit into the nut on the backside that affix it to the dash. More trouble to repair than to just buy one. Non OEM $20 or so Toyota $100
