If you want to shell out for a driver's lower seat cushion it's about $250 at the discount sites. Not cheap, but probably the best way back to as-new seat cushions.
I hope I don't recover again but if I do would probably do that. Thx!
How bad is the original foam at 90-100k typically? Mine feels decent but i just bought the vehicle at 90k. I noticed today there is now a long line/bump on the left bolster towards the bottom half that I hadn't noticed before. Kind of like a wire or more likely folding of foam that is creating a crease. The seat comfort is high on my list of critical features, so wondering if it is worth replacing the foam.
I was at 150K and I also did the driver's seat of my 1976 Bronco at the same time. I can tell you the difference is meaningful. Meaningfully meaning night and day difference.

This little bugger of an alternator pulley sure put up a fight. You win this round.

Practically redid an alternator replacement job just to upgrade with an overdrive pulley.

Yeah but you can now go around saying you're the ONLY one West of the Mississippi that has a 2 in. alternator pulley. :)

Yeah what sucks is with a body lift and radiator drop bracket, you cannot drop alternator out like normal, the 1/4” spacer just eats up the gap!

Interesting. Fortunately I didn't need to drop the alternator out fully. Just needed to unmount and get it in a position I hit the pulley nut with an impact gun.

The body lift did help to open up wheel well access nicely so I'll take that as a small win.

I made the mistake of originally trying to follow the FSM when swapping mine and totally jacked the lower transmission line into the radiator… then out the wheel well it went, after a ton of cursing. And then I got to install a new radiator….

If I'm doing the body lift install would it be "easier" to swap out the alternator? I have a new alternator from the Toyota sales and planning to do body lift.

I think so. Access from the side of wheel well is mucho better.

I think it's pretty straightforward to drop the alternator through the bottom. If you unbolt the sway bar from the chassis rails and just let it hang. And unbolt all the clamps and stiffeners for the power steering lines. Helps access to reach bolts and squeeze the alternator through.

Was getting tired of the silver reflection on my dash from the AC vents so wrapped them in matte black.

Also swapped over a couple of my black wrapped chrome handles to black oem handles I got second hand. Sadly it’s not 202 black so in direct sunlight you see quite a bit of bluish flake. I’ve still got to paint one that is in grey with 202 black so depending on how that turns out may respray those ones.

Just did the ol' engine plastic chop-aroo. Took about 30 seconds and admittedly not the cleanest job. I wish I had done this years ago. Now I no longer need to pull the plastics to reach my air chuck or battery. I know it's here on MUD if I search, but if anybody has those black plastic pin clip part number handy, I'm lazy  :edit: 90467-07217

My truck is basically just my dog's truck. So I borrowed a design from an old post here and made a K9 platform for the second row (with some tweaks), and did have to run a strip of carpet tacks along the edge to secure the thin strip that kept peeling off since this photo. A major upgrade from the slippery unstable hammock style covers, which I kept underneath to protect the seat backs. Also installed the Raingler net a few weeks back but haven’t gotten around to the hard install with the D-rings yet. I don’t have the courage to pop the B-pillars and drill holes, some day I will. I also made some door card covers out of vinyl and secured them with Velcro, cost me $12 to make those and they are amazing, no more slobber and mud and scrapes on the doors. Pupper is much safer now and doesn’t climb in the front seat any time I leave.

I found some hardware and made my own brackets to fit an Ironman awning tucked under some Yakima round bars. I think it looks pretty dang slick. Was really pleased to see Ironman using black vinyl now and not that dreaded green/brown that I thought I was getting, I did a little dance when I took it out of the box. I immediately removed the ugly logo with some acetone.

More stuff like that. Please contribute if you can think of anything else

Great looking pup and nice work on the fancy dog platform!

For what it’s worth, I don’t have your making-things skills so purchased the Kurgo dog bridge and love it.

And I cover it with a dog hammock:

Not as pretty as your work, obviously, but it works.
