Looking good! Tagging @LFDOffRoad so Jay can see the goodness. That looks sharp! I love their stuff…I have the skid, full rack, bottle opener….the essentials. ;-)

I also have the same hybrid bumper but haven’t been able to install it yet as I have a 2011 LC200 and the fog lights on the 2011 are wider than the later years so there isn’t an easy way to ‘trim’ the fog light bezels without destroying them…so I need to figure out how to cut the bumper instead. I notched the corners of the LFD and then chickened out when it came to trimming the LC OEM bumper bc I didn’t want to make a dumb mistake…and 100% chance of that happening when I do anything.

Appreciate it! Definitely a fan of their stuff. I have their 3/4 roof rack as well. Thankfully, I didn’t have to modify the OEM bumper other than what I already had to cut. Only thing that was an unforeseen issue was my OEM skid plate. Angle grinder took care of that and I was able to bolt it right up.
 
Bought and drove my 200 series from Detroit to Little Rock last week and have since done the following:

-Alignment
-Four wheel tire balance
-Repaired the cabin air filter/recirc door (I got lucky and the arm just came out of socket)
-Replaced the engine air filter with OEM
-Replaced the cabin air filter with OEM
-Replaced the battery with OEM
-Replaced the shift knob to factory, non-OEM but fit and finish are fine for now
-Installed missing rear hitch cover pin and screws
-Replaced engine cover pins with correct OEM pins
-Replaced batteries in both key fobs
-Replaced front windshield wipers with OEM (rear was recently replaced)

To Do:
-Replace driver door handle (OEM on order)
-Replace transfer case ground strap (OEM on order)
-Install cruise control switch with OEM
-Install Rear spoiler with (OEM on order, second hand)
-Locate and upgrade steering wheel with wood trim, factory is all leather
-Locate console caddy/insert
-Remove and clean behind cluster "glass"
-Interior removal and deep clean
-Diff and Transfer case flush
-Rear caliper and lines replacement with OEM
-Tint/Heat rejection film on windshield
-Exterior paint correction and coating
-Identify and replace all missing clips/bolts
-Undercarriage rust removal, protection, and POR-15
-Side mirror twitch fix
-Oil change to 5w-20/30 and magnetic drain plug
-Locate hazard triangle toolkit (I'm a completionist)
-

It's in great shape and made the journey just fine. It's been well cared for with 50 service records over 193,000 miles and four owners. My intention is to essentially restore the 200 and drive it for a very long time. This will be my second LC, the first being a 1985 FJ60, and my fourth Toyota (2005 V8 Sport 4x4 4Runner and 2005 Sequoia). I have a fairly experienced mechanical background and am excited to be involved with this community.

I installed a weboost!
So we visited the weboost booth at Overland East and decided I needed one. The biggest pain was fabricating & painting the angle bracket* on which to mount the antenna base. The one that comes with it would have made mounting it a 5 minute job however attaching it to the top of my roof rack made the garage in-out a no go. So I had to acquire a galvanized angle bracket which I had to cut, acid clean, prime and finish coat with paint matching the roof rack . It's lucky I have nothing better to do.

The amplifier sits nicely in that space under the passenger seat. The inside antennae is attached by heavy duty velcro on the console for the moment. We'll see if it stays there or not.

I get about 25+db boost which I think is pretty good. I hope it makes a difference when traveling. It sure would have helped at the Overland East fairground and at James River State Park where we stayed while attending the show.

*The angle bracket is under utilized with the weboost only occupying the right half when folded. Something needs to be mounted on the left side which can be lowered or easily removed to accommodate the garage door height. I was thinking of a folding mount similar to the weboost's that would fly the US and/or other flags.
Suggestions?

Installed my new OEM cruise control switch and saw no change. Ordered an OEM clock spring hoping to resolve the issue. Battery terminal cover on order as well as come interior molding clips for the rear lift gate I noticed were missing.

Did my lower weather strips today too and finished the tint removal. Fortunately my strips stayed together and came right out. I watched an Aussie video first that showed where the clips were and how to pop them out with a plastic trim tool that helped immensely. I used the Amazon parts in place of OEM and they looked just like the ones I removed.

Finally replaced the driver's side mirror retractor on my LX. No more spontaneous folding when using my towing mirror attachments.

I got a kick out of how complicated the mirror computer is. I remember the days of rolling down the window (manually of course) and adjusting the mirror with my hand.

The part numbers are as follows:
Toyota / Lexus Retractor repair kit left hand side: 87966-60C20
Toyota / Lexus Retractor repair kit right hand side: 87946-60C20

I followed this video. Pretty straightforward. I think the hardest part was putting the wires into the connector. They mostly matched up, but the color shades and patterns were somewhat different.

 
Body shop is doing the work, not me! Very straightforward for them. Shop does restorations on multi million dollar Porsches, so my land cruiser is no big deal.

We’d have a garage lion if not for the raging allergies my wife has to them.

So far the garage traps have not been tripped so I’ve picked up these unwanted passengers from our frequent trips to the woods.
