I think it was 400, 800, 1500, 2500 and then polishing compound.

Sounds like the typical headlight-restore routine re grit.

Correct, these were leftover discs I had from previous plastic headlights I had done. Just didn’t realize it would be quite as effective on the glass which I think the camera lens is.

Had the windows tinted and new tires installed. I went with Falken at3w's in 285/55R20. I think it rides better with the LT tire verse p metric. My side kick was pretty impressed with herself after jumping in last minute.

^Looks great. That tire sizing is really the perfect no nonsense drop in size for the LX. She'll be unstoppable now.

Thanks, I think it looks better for just a one inch larger tire, and accomplished a few things that I had in mind.

Yup. I work in Kendall Square. Work was closed today. Commute tomorrow will be a nightmare.

Had about 2' in my driveway this morning, took quite a while to get it all cleared. One shovel did not survive.

Man, these 2nd row suckers are HEAVY!! Gotta make room...

I'm way too old to shovel my entire driveway. We have a plow service that gets most of it. I just have to dig out my truck.

Ariens 824 snowblower.

My wife pesters me every year to hire a plow service, but I won't have it. My experience with plows is they damage the driveway and chew up the lawn. No thanks.

I don’t have anyplace to keep a snowblower. No room in our small garage for it. Also, my wife leaves for work at a stupid hour in the morning, which would mean I would be up half the night blowing snow. Besides being old, and a night owl, I’m also lazy.

fridge me

I'm leaning towards Dometic myself unless I find information to support another brand. whats got your eye?

So far I've had good luck with my dometic clone "max burton" 54 Qt. picked it up on sale last year for $360 shipped.

the only outward difference I have found is that the 115v option to run is provided by a power cord with inverter, instead of the inverter being integral to the fridge. the cord/inverter was junk and I had to replace it with a $30 one from Amazon.

A little embarrassed to admit, but I went a little nuts.
Debated about the whole fridge or freezer Q on the road,
trying to keep some stuff frozen without exploding cans etc.

National Luna 60L Twin solves this with two sides & separate temp controls.
Does fridge/freezer...fridge/fridge....or freezer/freezer.
Major splurge. Ouch $. But I hate buyer's remorse & buying stuff twice.

This will delay my gears/lockers a bit, bc my mod fund is wimpy but needed fridge for baja & I think we'll be happy with this for many moons.

Feel free to call me an idiot... :hillbilly:

I'm surprised - if you removed the UCA from the steering knuckle and removed the tie rod and stabilizer bar connector - you should have been able to remove the shock assembly without disconnecting the LCA from the steering knuckle.
That's what all the videos say, but I found it nearly impossible to do with 2 guys and a 6' prying bar. I don't know how the TD guys did it in their video.

The lower control arm bushings don't turn, they are locked in place by the adjusting bolts. You were torqueing the bushings.
Loosen the adjusting bolts and the lower arm will drop out of the way.
