The lower control arm bushings don't turn, they are locked in place by the adjusting bolts. You were torqueing the bushings.
Loosen the adjusting bolts and the lower arm will drop out of the way.
Yesterday I changed the bulb in one of the fog lights in my ARB bumper. What a pain in the ass. No simple way to pull the unit out, had to disassemble it while it was still attached to the swivel bracket. Once inside I realize the H3 bulb has been "hard wired" in so I have to cut the splice, cut the end off the new bulb, thread wires back through all the rubber grommets, soldier the + lead back into the wiring harness (almost too short now) and then reassemble.
Hopefully the other side won't go out for awhile... Next time I'll just upgrade to LEDs, done.
After about 25 minutes, it was already -4 Celsius on the left and 6 Celsius on the right...right where I set them. That was on "Turbo" mode adn plugged into 110...but wow. This thing is quick, solid and wow, I am pleased.
OMG (not my usual verbiage) freezers, heated showers, microwaves, inverters, cutting noodles with shears, 18 yr old Scotch? Reminds me of that Pace Salsa commercial where they yell New York City!! On a more serious note sounds like you guys are primed and ready to have a great trip. Be safe

You left out the last line:
"Pace Picante sauce is made bah folks in San Antonio who know what Picante should be.
Where's that made? New York City??!! .........GIT A ROPE!!"
I replaced the rear springs this morning. I had ARB 2722 but didn't like the rake. I installed some ARB 2720 springs. I went from about 1-3/4" rake to down in the ass by 1/4". Sigh....So I ordered some OME 10mm spring packers and will put those in next weekend. Good thing is that it only takes 1-1/2 hours to replace the rear springs on these. The actual spring changing takes about 3 min per side.
Also drained and refilled the rear diff with M1 75W-90. Couldn't get the front diff drain to loosen, so it will wait for another time. It was raining here this AM and you know how cold the water is when it's dripping on your head while you are working under a car.
Going to Moab in two weeks to run with the Easter Jeep safari. I enjoy taking my cruiser out with the jeeps.
Thank you for the comments on the build. It really is fun. For me it's been incremental because $$ limitations, but I'm finding that having to save for stuff makes me appreciate each step so much more, whether minor or huge. It means doing without other fancy stuff for while, but totally worth it. For example...we have a small-ish TV because we can't TRAVEL in a TV.
And ya, that pop-up mod would truly be awesome. I think someone does those in Germany and also in Australia (of course). Would be so nice to be able to include the interior for heating/cooling when sleeping up top, and also would be sweet to be able to stand.
I've wondered why a roof-top tent maker doesn't come up with some sort of way to vent heat out of the moon roof opening and into the RTT. When camping in cold conditions, it would be amazing to be able to fully pre-heat the tent interior with the trucks heater. All that hot air would go up/out the moonroof...then fill the tent. Then you climb in all nice and warm. I dunno. Just an idea I had that I think would be cool. Could also be a neat little access point from the interior...like handing sleepers stuff from the cool-box...
I shipped my truck out to Denver yesterday to get some love from @nakman (Gamiviti rack with Shadow Awn mounts) and Mike @Bumpitoffroad for a rear bumper and sliders.
I finished the Radflo/Total Chaos UCA install this weekend. The stabilizer link reinstall kicked my butt. Got about 3 inches without preload. I think it took me 20+ hours altogether. Slow, but no parts leftover...
I haven't popped them on yet, but I'm pretty sure they just clip on. No need to remove inside door panels. I'll confirm tonight or tomorrow when I swap them in.
