What have you done to your 200 Series this week? (25 Viewers)

Placed an order for the last bunch of stuff for my dual battery/power system. Pieceing everything together was kinda fun. All in it came to $1200ish but a lot of that was the GoPower inverter/charger/switch that's definitely overkill. I still have a 200W solar setup in my Amazon cart that I want too but I need to pay for some other stuff first. Plus, I'd like to see how this big ass group 31 performs first.

I'll probably have to make a build thread once my 200 is back. But here's the list, if you notice anything missing let me know. I'm all hopped up on percocets for my back so my memory is fuzzy:

- Redarc Dual Sensing isolator
- Go Power 2000W Inverter/100A Charger/Auto-switcher
- Duracell 31DTMAGM Deep Cycle AGM 20 amp hour rate: 105
- Wingnut Marine Battery Terminal Posts
- Pico 15ea 2 AWG battery terminal/lugs
- 25ft of both red and black Marine grade 2 AWG wire (comes with more terminals and shrink tubing)
- 25ft of both red and black Ancor Marine Grade 16 AWG wire
- 2ea Blue Sea Systems ANL Fuse Block
- 3ea 200A Blue Sea ANL Fuses
- 120pcs Wirefy Heat Shrink Connector Kit
- 4A USB Charger Receptacle 15A with two 3 prong outlet (Home outlet style)
- Outlet box
- 2ea Blue Sea Systems 6 circuit Fuse Block (one each for front and rear)
- 15A male plug (for shore power/charging)
- 30A male to 15A female plug (incase of 30A service)
- 25ft 12/2 household wiring
- 50ft heavy duty extension cord
- Waterproof LED Volt Meter Gauge
- AirOnBoard battery link switch (to manually connect/jump both batteries)
- Quality crimpers for small and large AWG (these will save many angry moments)
- Jegs universal group 31 tray

Don't forget enough battery terminals either military style or the ones Slee has. An issue I had was for some reason the holes on the crimp on lugs were not all large enough to fit over the studs.

Put in a set of the ARB drawers with roller tops on both sides. Did the job by myself in about 3 hours using the cryptic instructions from ARB and a couple of helpful posts from the forum (thanks to all who have offered their method). No pics, nothing new to show.

Finally got my ARB steps on.

Had the LC detailed and coated in Ceramic Pro 9H. Should make it much easier to clean up after fun off road. Offers some scratch protection too.

Please educate me more about the ceremic coat, this is the first time I hear about this product. I checked online and all the video is pretty impressive. How much did it cost and where to get it done?

Coating was done here in Japan by a local well-known and reputable car detailing specialist. I've been using them for over 12 years and have been very satisfied with their work. The total cost was in Japanese Yen and included other detailing work too, but it turned out to be approximately $1,500 US. They "warrant" the coating for 5 years. Expensive, I know. This is the first time I've opted for the Pro 9H, but I've been very impressed with their "lesser coatings" over the years. Not having to wax any of my cars for over a decade now has been a real bonus! The cars are so much easier to clean, washing is much quicker and the dirt just doesn't seem to stick to the paint. Paint was much less likely to get swirl marks in it too.

Ceramic Pro 9H can be layered (I have three layers) for extra protection. It's pretty resilient, but it can be scratched if not looked after. I have a similar coating on my FJ and it has held up quite well on the narrow trails here.

Hope that helps!

Woo! Finally got the call from Christo that he needs my MONEY...meaning my TJM T13 front bumper is finally here!! :hillbilly:

Now to make my final winch selection, and get my BP-51 fronts (?) replaced...and I'll be on my way.

Also gotta choose lights. Love the ARB 9" Intensities...but holy crap they are expensive! Hmmmm...

Finally replaced the stock Bridgestones on my 2015 LC with BFGoorich ALL-TERRAIN T/A KO2 LT285/60R18.

I took it to the dealership to get their "buy 3, get the fourth for $1". However, the Toyota dealership doesn't sell All Terrain tires. Can you believe it? That really surprised me. I didn't get the discount and they wouldn't warranty the tires.

Has anyone had this experience at a Toyota dealership?

^^^It is my experience that you will have more bad experiences with Toyota dealerships than good.

It's about the individual people, when it's good...likely about the structure and leadership when bad.

Ditto. The majority of dealership experiences I've had have been terrible. It is about the leadership and culture. Oddly enough my worst experience was at a Land Rover dealer and my best was a Chevy dealer. You'd think that would be the other way around. Toyota for me has been middle of the road... which is better than most.

My latest was dealing with the KDSS lean. At check-in at the dealer they said it would be covered under warranty. Two hours later they came out and asked me to go fill the gas tank. An hour later they came out and said they may not be able to fix it and asked if I was sure that I wanted them to try. 20 minutes after that the service manager and the warranty manager came out and said 1/2" was in spec and I'd have to pay for the adjustment. At this point I was pretty steamed. They compromised by only charging me 1/2 price. In the end the rig is level when the gas tank is full and leans 1/2" to the driver side when the fuel tank is 3/4 or less full. I basically just said the hell with it and stopped trying to make it level.

Anyway.... IMO... most dealership experiences suck.

Thanks to @Lo2aY and his team, the following got done.

Blue Sea USB port and fuse block

Thanks @cruiseroutfit

And some Kings 2.5". Front sits a touch lower than I like, and its set to the maximum height.

What spacers would work to level her?

Great looking truck, the Toyota factory 10mm spacer will probably level out the suspension. You could also use a modified tundra 20-25 mm spacer and back off the preload of the springs if you want to get a softer ride in the front.
Mscruiser added spacers to keep the lift tall and preload down. check out his build thread "fat amy"

Thank you sir! Will hit him up!

Nice job on the exit kit. How was the install?

Thanks Kurt. @Lo2aY did the install in his shop. Works like a charm!

New shoes. Black Rhino Tanay wheels wrapped in Cooper S/T Max rubber. 285/70/18. There's a bit of rub on the KDSS sway bar attachment at full lock when backing up. ChiTown4X4 really hooked me up with the look I was after. If you're looking for Toyota parts be sure to check them out.

Damn those are sweet wheels. The gunmetal gray on black REALLY works!

Any idea the load rating on those?
