Woke up and took care of the honey do's so I could play with the truck. Time to make the wheels look better - scrubbed and dried with a little help from my 11 yr old daughter - think she is going to be better at turning a wrench than either of her older brothers:clap:

Prepped and ready to spray:

@Scottb4857 Is that plasti dip or paint? Looks great... Been thinking about doing my wheels like that....

Ribs look awesome as well!!!

I was following @ScottyD thread on tint he had

https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/re...-and-will-have-extra-viper-ceramic-30.858748/

Thought I would call my local tint shop to see what they would charge to put it on if I got some... They said they actually had enough for two windows that they found cleaning up the warehouse a few weeks back. They were wondering what to do with it since no one really uses the bronze anymore. Not sure it was Viper but it is NC legal and he has a 10 year warranty on it, came under his premium tint list...

75$ cash....30 mins later and the match looks really good.. Little hard to tell with the reflection but in the shop it was spot on...

Lucky........

Ok can someone PM me a build thread?!?!

I don't have a build thread on it. I am not that great at stopping and taking pictures. I thought I might do a quick over view after I was all done to help the next guy.

Black plasti dip - turned out better than I had hoped. I am missing 3 of the 4 center caps so taped off the hubs and did the parts that show through also. Thinking I need to either paint or find some black lug nuts now.

Replaced remote key fob batteries this weekend. Bought a few CR1616 cells as was explained in some of the threads and replaced them. The remote works again now. Earlier, I had to be very very close to the vehicle before it could open the door.

Finished modifying and installed WKOR sliders on new ride, I was a little hesitant cutting off one of the mounting arms but they still seem very solid. AHC rigs require only 2 supports on driver side for clearance.

Man I love this color! Grey or tan interior? Every consider painting the cladding and front fender/front door/rear door below the cladding? With that all black that might create my favorite ever 100-series!

Hmm fireball you may be on to something there, plastic cladding is starting to fade like they all do...tan interior.

Just your standard AHC in high mode :grinpimp:

Great looking truck - what lift is that?

Awesome thanks @Scottb4857 ! That is just what I was going to use. How many cans did the trick?

I used 4 cans to do the wheels and hubs and I did not skimp on any of the coats. It surprised me at how thick you have to put in on to achieve the "wet" look it says on the can and how it still didn't run. Taping and prepping goes much faster if you have a helper handing you the pieces of tape or helping scrub the wheels (in other words if you have age appropriate kids good way to have them "help" with the project :)).

Paint the cladding the body color.

I added LED bulbs in the fogs a few weeks back posted here

https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/what-have-you-done-to-your-100-series-this-week.609679/page-241

You can see the DS fog light is cloudy so I ordered replacement housings from an EBay site another member posted

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1997-2007-T...ruiser&hash=item3a94660938&vxp=mtr&rmvSB=true

I was sceptical due to the $45 for all price

Here is the box with everything harness, relay, switch, none of which i needed just the new housings (Came with bulbs as well)

I thought they looked pretty good minus the housing being black vs grey which was also what the ad looked like (Grey)
BUT when i compared to the original you can see that there is no reflector cover over the bulb as in the OEM, notice how you can see the driveway through the lamp.....
old vs new fog.jpg

Figured no big deal so I put it in and tested it against the PS which was not foggy. With these LEDS I don't think the reflector matters really

fog 1 done.jpg

Since the new one looked so bright I swapped out the PS as well here it is with both swapped...

I will see if there is a difference at night i'm thinking that if I want to I could pop the tabs holding the lens in and replace it back on the original housing but for now I don't think it is a bad deal for 45$

Blueberry on the way!
