Instant $0 lift. Removed passenger side running board. One bolt on the front bracket was a bit tricky. Regrouped and figured it out pretty quick. Stock tires and AHC in high in this pic. Driver's side is on tomorrow's to-do list.

SLEE AHC over-ride should arrive tomorrow as well. Then I will be ready for the 275/70 x 18 Duratracs to go on.

Some pictures from last Sunday 4wding in Harvey WA. We always find mud there and it is always a great day out.

New windshield!

Opened a can of worms...not even through my first tank of gas on the new 100 and found a deal too good to pass up on some new sneakers. Bigger than I was thinking, but we'll try them and downgrade if I have to...

295/70r18 nitto MT's.

1" body lift and 1.5" suspension to come before these go on. Gonna run tundra 18" alloys.

With a little tweaking, I was able to fit one of these "Safe Jacks" in the factory location.

Be advised that that Jack doesn't have a lot of range...even though you have long extensions to reach high places the bottle itself wont extend far enough to lift a rear tire. I know from experience.

The factory bottle has that second and third tier to the ram.

Very nice! What size are your current tires?

Changed my thermostat and heater Ts. Worked on installing my Yellr Box, but my homemade extension must have a bad connection, since it wouldn't get a signal. I'm glad I changed the heater Ts. One was fine, and is now my spare, but the other was broken and soft to the touch.

Thanks! Slee is removing my non-functional AHC two weeks from tomorrow and installing the OME medium 1.5" lift with diff drop and UCAs. Really looking forward to it. I have brand new 265/75/16s BFG AT KO2s the dealer threw in when I bought my 2000 lx470 last month so I was wondering how small they would look lol. I'm not changing them until they wear out.

Thanks again, nice hundy!

Bummer. I'll look into it. Thanks for the heads up.

Based on a lot of reading here I jumped into speaker replacement.

I spent total for the 4 doors and sub of $150
I had one of the guys at my shop in PA refoam the subs and fix the drivers only cost me 50$ in material..
I used these in the fronts and back, well back will be done tomorrow, because I have used this Crutchfield brand in the past they are cheap and really sound great.. Plus on sale for 49$ with free shipping....

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_777P67C/Sound-Ordnance-P-67C.html?tp=106

They mounted in the existing ring fairly easy could be a little better lined up, but they are snug and not going to move.

I was able to drill a hole next to the speaker and mount the crossover. The tweeter came with 2 sided adhesive tape and was a perfect fit in the stock location up front.

DS Speakers.jpg

Speakers are 4ohms but sound just fantastic.... I'm going to stick with the factory amp for the time being...

Same speakers going in the rear decided to do the separates back there as well but I'm going back and forth with the tweeter location. I will send some pics once I figure it out, but I think I am going to flush mount them right about the stock speaker.

I added LED bulbs in the fogs a few weeks back posted here

https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/what-have-you-done-to-your-100-series-this-week.609679/page-241

You can see the DS fog light is cloudy so I ordered replacement housings from an EBay site another member posted

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1997-2007-Toyota-Land-Cruiser-Fog-Lights-Front-Lamps-Wiring-Kit-FULL-SET-/251597818168?fits=Make:Toyota|Model:Land+Cruiser&hash=item3a94660938&vxp=mtr&rmvSB=true

I was sceptical due to the $45 for all price

Here is the box with everything harness, relay, switch, none of which i needed just the new housings (Came with bulbs as well)
View attachment 1083837

I thought they looked pretty good minus the housing being black vs grey which was also what the ad looked like (Grey)
BUT when i compared to the original you can see that there is no reflector cover over the bulb as in the OEM, notice how you can see the driveway through the lamp.....
View attachment 1083838

Figured no big deal so I put it in and tested it against the PS which was not foggy. With these LEDS I don't think the reflector matters really

View attachment 1083839

Since the new one looked so bright I swapped out the PS as well here it is with both swapped...

View attachment 1083841

I will see if there is a difference at night i'm thinking that if I want to I could pop the tabs holding the lens in and replace it back on the original housing but for now I don't think it is a bad deal for 45$

Just to throw this out there. I also replaced a fog and got a near perfect OEM match off of Amazon for $43. No black surround.

Seems to be good quality if anyone is looking for an alternate to what coastalcat posted.

Those speakers seem like a really good deal. I seriously need to do this. Nice work @costalcat , please let us know how it all sounds once completed.

Thanks sure will. If they sound anything like the system in my Syncro it should sound great. I have the 6x9's and the 1/2 in components in there with no amp. This should sound better.. I like the 3 yr warranty as well.

Ok so now that I've done some reading on crutchfield, why did you decide to go with this same set of speakers for the rear instead of using this set: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_777P52/Sound-Ordnance-P-52.html?tp=105? I'm intersted to see how you mount the rear tweeters...

Also it seems like other people have used 6 1/2" speakers, and while those are available from Sound Ordinance you went with the 6 3/4" ones. What drove that choice? Clearly you didn't have too much trouble mounting the larger speakers.

I'm just not a big fan of the 2-way speakers especially when they are close to the floor. I think I am going to mount the tweeter right above the speaker flush. I took off the panel and it looks like there is room.

I have been happy with the 6 1/2 in the synchro's and was going to go that way but the tech at Crutchfield recommended the 6 3/4. Said they would fit the existing speaker bracket better. They are about the same in every other way and I didn't need any additional brackets which was suggested with the 6 1/2 plus they were a little cheaper. It was a pretty quick install once I trimmed the 2 tabs off the stock bracket. PS door was 25 mins start to finish...

I will post a pic once the back is done .....

Those tires are badass. Nice pick up / purchase

Yep, loving those wheels too
