For the interior rattles that you've found... What was the culprit? I imagine that it's panel-to-panel rubbing of interior plastics, but I suppose it could just be random loose fasteners too.

I've got a few odd noises that I will eventually track down. I'm planning to pull the complete interior out so if all my noises disappear after that I guess I will know that it was a panel fitment issue somewhere.

So far, the jack compartment cover, the glove box door and the center console. I can sometimes hear the sunroofs wind deflector, but that's coming off as soon as I get my Gamiviti rack mounted up.

Put new shoes on Goodyear Duratracs, replaced broken drivers side mirror, replaced broken master window switch in drivers door, started the sanding process for respray of entire vehicle. Now that she runs correctly on all fronts, time to make her pretty again!

Put on new brake shims and some anti-squeal compound... much quieter now. Also put some new pins in the front brake calipers; the old ones were rust and hard to remove

Switched off my winter tires just in time for spring snowfall...haha! My summers are M+S's anyways.

New engine oil and filter. Also drained and filled transfer case and diff fluids. Front diff drain plug had more than just 'sludge' on it. There were metal shavings. Will change front fluid again in 2-3k to ensure there is not a problem there .

Removed dirty and torn speaker cover fabric. A couple of coats from the rattle can and better than new IMHO.

Yeah, but it's really easy. I think it's a total of 8 or so screws, a few plastic pop-rivets, and they come right off. No other way to access the speaker covers without taking off the whole panel...at least that I've found anyways.

Installed the latest DVD navigation disc, thanks Murf and Camelback Toyota. Murf had me wait a few extra weeks to get the very latest version, the old disc was a 2010 version.

4 new #12 spherical bearings, new o-rings and shock oil for the rear Radflos. Should be good for another 3-4 years.

Have you tried stuffing the dash? Sounds kind of jerry-rigged but can work. Even if it's not permenant, it could help you track it down. It's a bad feeling to felt an entire dash, reinstall it and still have a rattle

Not yet, although all the wires I've added have been foam/anti-rattle wrapped. I actually have two obnoxious rattles...and they seem, key word "seem", to be eminating from just under the dash top...

I used regular old Rust-oleum, Painter's Touch Ultra Cover. It's an indoor/outdoor paint that's specifically stated it was formulated to bond to plastic. Nothing fancy, but it did the job. The color is London Gray, satin finish. It's not an exact match, but I'm really happy with the finished product.

When you pay that much for tires I like to be able to read what they are. Lol
