Ha! We have that exact same rickety wooden ladder at our house..... We call it: "The Widowmaker"!!!! :)

Haha. This thing has been in the family for years and can get kinda scary.

Rack finally on. Would have been done a lot sooner, but I mounted the towers upside down the first time. Guess I got too anxious and started before my first cup of coffee. Besides that, it's straight forward and the fit is awesome. Tim does great work.

Nice Rack! I'm looking to pick up a Gamiviti in the next few months. Is that the expo or the 3/4 expo or was it a custom order? I'm having a hard time deciding what will fill my needs. Yours looks great though....nice job!

Thanks! It's one of his custom racks called the Expo + with a cutout for the sunroof. I like the way it fills the gap between the roof and the rack itself.

Changed engine oil, transmission fluid, transfer case, front & rear drive cases, power steering fluid. Will change brake fluid and bleed next weekend. Hope to keep this heap for a very long time. All Amsoil since purchased in 2011. Mobile 1 is a good replacement. Stink Bug has been good to me and want to return the favor. 154,000 miles going excellent and want to reach the limit. Where ever that might be.

I do love this vehicle! and so does my granddaughter, grandson and my dog.

Changed out my coolant T connections. Mine did not look too bad. One lip had cracked off. For reference, my 100 is a Texas truck with 204k miles. I've owned since 36k and have changed the coolant religiously.

I'm still glad they are new after seeing others that were in worse shape. Gives me some peace of mind!

tried to find my dash rattle

i'm probably going to learn how to remove the complete dash top...

4 new #12 spherical bearings, new o-rings and shock oil for the rear Radflos. Should be good for another 3-4 years.

If you treated you equipment better it would last longer. :flipoff2:

I worked on trailer wiring and rear brakes over the weekend. I ordered and installed the Curt 55365 T connector even though their literature says it doesn't fit my 2000 MY. It looked identical to the old one that was already there so I went with it. But the factory plug was corroded so I ended up cutting it off and the 6 pin off the new connector. I spliced in a new generic 6 pin connector that I got from the parts store so that I could remove the t connector when I am not using it.

I also installed new rear pads as mine were done. I went with EBC Ultimax and so far so good. Also had to rebuild my stuck passenger side park brake but I didn't replace anything. I just greased up the old stuff.

New SPC front UCA's are going on this afternoon! Prepping for a road trip to NC this weekend...

There's also a new Diehard Platinum group 35 in my garage waiting for me.

Got one step closer to needing slider steps.

Since I've been in Athens my dad and his buddy replaced the idler pulley and serpentine belt today. 45 minutes total and she's back to purring like a kitten

Kept hearing a rattle when the a/c compressor kicked on. Turns out it was that air box that sits on top of the valve cover. I broke the rear mount when I moved it clean the TB. Gotta love JB Weld. No more rattle.

Really screwed the pooch this time. Knew I had an issue with a pulley but decided I'd drive it till it got bad. Well... things got bad.

Driving down Ptree Rd the loud noise from my engine suddenly went away and my battery light came on. Ok, so no alt means the whole belt must've gone. Pulling into a parking lot my power steering was gone too, that's no bueno. At this point I know I've let it go too far. I popped the hood only to confirm my suspicion. The whole serpentine belt was shredded and tangled into pulleys. Whatever, I'll deal with this after lunch. So after lunch we went back to the ol cruiza, pulled the mangled belt off, shut off all auxiliary things and fired her up in hopes of limping back to a local lot where I could work on her.

Here comes the interesting, funny, stupid part of the story. So as I am driving a very unhappy cruiser out of this lot I notice the engine start to sputter. ****. Losing compression and trying to get out of this damn parking lot. I decide it'd be better to simply shut her off to avoid further damage. I was with 4 other people, thank god. So I threw her in neutral, tell the lady with us that she's steering this pig, and we get to pushing her down Ptree. Thankfully some kind people passing by helped push for about a qtr mile. Great, now I'm a quarter mile the opposite direction I needed to go. At this point my buddy goes to get his truck so we can tow the cruiser back down Ptree a couple miles to his place. Ghetto? Yeah, but this is Atlanta, who's really going to tell us that we look ghetto? So I hooked up a tow strap to the front bumper and he tows me about 2 miles back to his lot where my truck now sits, as I am in Athens.

Really hoping it won't be a tough fix. I know it's the top most pulley of the serp belt, so hopefully the most difficult part is going to be rethreading the belt into place.

TL;DR I didn't repair my car and let the serp belt snap. Had to push it down Peachtree and tow it back the other way behind somebody's truck.

Sounds like the tensioner pulley? There is a thread on here somewhere for replacing it. I did mine recently. There are quite a few things that you need to remove in order to get to it but it's certainly doable with time and some mechanical inclination. Good luck!

Replaced center emblem with one from a HS 250h, because the blue 'glow' is sweet and I think putting a hybrid emblem on my beast is hilarious. I also chose it because it's a solid emblem and would cover up the three mounting holes and no more dirt and grime inside the ring/around the L. The grime really, really bugged me. 1/4 banana job.

Removed rear console. Cleaned cup holder mechanisms thoroughly. Ran a constant power lead through center console to a relay that taps off the accessory power line to the lighter in the console. Wired up a 5 port Anker USB charger (2 kiddos with tablets etc), have yet to decide on permanent mounting options. 2-3 banana job.

It's not tech but I gotta say I love the hybrid emblem.

I went for the long ball and coated my hood. I can appreciate the folks that liked the smaller version of this, but the glare and the Texas heat beating up my paint job is noticeably improved.
