Swapped heater hose T's that have been sitting around. After 11 years and 156k miles, they were in rough shape... If you have been putting it off, jump on it.... The "hot end" crumbled during R&R per the below.

Also installed new fuel filter.... But made the mistake of doing so BEFORE the heater hoses and spent an hour huffing gas fumes.

I bought it used from a MUD member. I can't tell what size it is, I didn't really care for the price. It fits the 100 perfectly.

How did you mount it? Did it come with the right mounts?
The price(new) seemed reasonable to me, compared to others, I have a FrontRunner roof rack, so I was just going to get the largest awning possible.

I liked TJM's product the best, been shopping for this a while, glad to see it looked so good on yours..Mine should arrive next week.

Obviously, I can get by without it for the time being, but this is the sort of thing I get plenty of miles out of in Texas.

Finally got the brackets made up for my awning.
Now to find the captive nuts to go in the T-slots of the genuine Toyota bars.

Looks like a 2 meter not 2500. 2500 is much longer than the roofline of the 100.

Changed the oil and fitted up a Slee second battery tray yesterday.

Still thinking way to hard for a place to mount the winch solenoid/controller under the hood. The Superwinch one is just so damned big compared to the others, most everyone's ideas won't work for it.:bang:

It mounted via l-brackets. I'm not sure if the ones that came on mine are the original ones. It's not a TJM, it is the IronMan awning. It deploys in less than a minute with two people. I will take pictures of how mine is mounted later this afternoon when I get bored of the office chair.

I've searched the FAQ...anyone done a "How-to" write-up on this?

This one will give you more information than you need. Suggest using only OEM hoses and clamps to avoid leaks. Reused the old clamps and seemed just fine. I changed all my heater hoses and most were in good shape after 152,000 miles.

I agree, I just put one in last week. Should have done it 6 years ago when i got the truck.

Where do you guys get the cell phone holder piece? Dealer?

When talking to a dealer, it's not listed for the 98-00. Tell them to look at the later years for the part you want.

I replaced the upper ball joint boots. At 240k miles, both boots were cracked open with some grease still remaining on each joint. Both joints were tight so I added a little grease and put the new boots on. It was really easy to do.

Lubed the zerks, removed sunroof and lubed gasket with silicone spray, new PCV, flushed brake fluid and installed a new D bushing on the passenger side of the steering rack. Still have a noise coming from the steering column inside the cab. Ugh. It's always the little noises that bother me the MOST!

Interesting, a mechanic who works at a garage/gas station I fill up at came out today and asked if I wanted to sell. I politely smiled and said never.
