Was thinking of putting the winch at the back coz the semi rigid needs to be winched onto the trailer when taking it out of the sea... Only worry is the mud, dirt, saltwater that would find its way into the winch if I did put it there, any suggestions?

So a few weeks ago i gave my dad my LX to drive back a new boat we got. I headed down to the beach this weekend, and when i pulled into the driveway in his RX, there sits my LX with a brand new set of Duratracs and fully detailed.

I cannot believe the the smooth, quiet ride that comes out of a tread that aggressive. I loved my destination MTs, but could not warrant an MT anymore with only a handful a trips a year and the truck being the wife' DD.

Drove back almost 400 miles today with the goodyears. They are amazing. Great surprise birthday present too.

I believe i saw Sonk and 2000Uzj also appreciate how amazing dropping back down to an AT changes these trucks back to luxury off roaders.

Lookin good Parker!
When are you going to put a rear bumper on that??

Send those square ones to me right away for further testing and proper feedback........

Is that all one has to say to get free stuff!? I need to start trying that!

Installed my new rear lower control arms from Stan (NCFJ here on MUD) at Toy Outfitters today in South Carolina today. Been sitting in my garage for almost eight months.

Install was a snap except my 7/8 socket went missing and had to talk my wife into leaving the pool and making a run to buy one for me.

Added a decal! Time consuming install.

Jordan, a bit late hey?
The dents are there already BEFORE you installed the protection rails? ;)

Ordered 5 new tyres: Mickey Ts ATZ 4-ribs.
Can't wait to have real tyres under the car instead of the Dunflops.

Hey Fishie - How'd you route the coax? Between the rubber and the metal, or did you drill a hole in the metal?

Also, what's the SWR? Thanks.

Installed mine just like this too but after like 5 times of opening and closing the hatch, my wire frayed so now I run it like this. And I also put mine behind the weather stripping. Hopefully, you have better luck. I'm afraid I'm going to have to get a new antenna cable.

It was time.

I may be mistaken but is that a projector headlight assembly on your 100 Series? If so, please let me know where I can get one. Looks great. The Rigid in the ARB looks awesome too. Is that a kit they make to install instead of having to use the conventional fog lamp?

I typed "projector" into the "search this forum" box. Upper right on the 100 Series forum home page^

Or, just click on the link in Nick's (2000UZJ) signature line..

Lol saved me the time of doing that for him :p @PurpleHeartLC so far after about a week the wire is holding up absolutely fine and clears everywhere except where it crosses the weather strip, but that's unavoidable. It shouldn't fray... I hope.

Finally got the iPhone 4S on iOS 6.1 to work with the AppRadio, instructions on avic411.com, nearly bought the Galaxy S4 coz I couldn't get it working for a while!

.

That's good work, I'm not an Iphone user, but I have that exact Pioneer Dash system. I'm traveling this week, but let me see if I can toy with this a bit and we can compare notes.

Thanks for pointing this out!

Replaced leaking AC discharge hose. Replaced AC dryer element (see here for an example: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=1309397&cc=1368547).
I stumbled onto the location for the drier element. Couldn't find it on any threads here. It is under the truck on the passenger side of the radiator. Unscrew the cap and yank the old element out with needle nose pliers. Poke the new one in (I used a 3/8 extension bar to tap it in) and put the cap back on. 5 mins tops. Vacuum system and recharge with R134a.

During the charging process I found that my drivers side valve cover gasket was leaking like the Exxon Valdez. So I'll have to tear back into that and reseat the new gasket.

Finally got my radios installed!

Blue LEDs for the rest of the controls are on the way :D

And yes, that is the slot where my ash tray used to be... damn thieves...

Yes the side rails are a bit late but I am trying to limit damage. I may get to fixing body damage but quote is nearly 5 k. I was think of simply buying a door an a couple front fenders. Door is about 700 and 200 per fender. The back quarter panels are too expensive o replace considering the body work to cut, tack weld, fill, blend and paint. The fenders are bolt on and + 1 if I can get same colour.

Tested out my fender protector this weekend and they worked well. Saved another serious fender dent and simply diverts tight trees when body sway happens over uneven terrain while crawling by these spots. It won't prevent everything but majority for here.

Even with skids and sliders I managed to rip off the resonator on the rear. It was stock and just got in the way anyway, with no noticeable difference in sound. It was crushed and hanging down so I took the hack saw to it as a suitable trail side fix. Now it is a high clearance version!

Programmed my new transponder key(blanks ordered from Ebay) with the directions on TLCFAQ.com. Took all of three minutes. Thanks RobRed for making it easy.

Also, ordered some parts from Beno at Lowe Toyota. The legend now resides in the land of red clay.

blanks as in the electronic part? Both of mine are fried (washing machine ).

The key was a blank with a shell. I swapped in the remote (still worked) with a fresh battery from the old shell that literally crumbled on me. Sounds as if you'll need a new remote after the spin cycle.

Heard you're getting a big brake kit installed this weekend. Maybe a timing belt too?
