It's a Central America version of 1LoudLX :)

Maybe the roads dont get nearly as nasty and dirty there as they do in Colorado but if I had that setup, just driving the 8 miles to the base of the mountain from home on a snowy day my bindings would be filled with grime. I'd go roof or inside. Maybe Cali is different, just a heads up though.

Too lazy to remove the RTT before going skiing, moved the ski rack to the ladder swing out. No drilling (in the bumper at least), some longer screws, and done. Might not be the most elegant solution, but it seems like it'll work.

Right? Exactly what I was thinking. Truck looks cool, I like the wrap.

Oh and I havent done anything to my truck in months, let alone this week. So no pictures from me.

Have to give credit to 1LoudXL. His truck was the inspiration for the tail and break lights.
BTW - I know these ebay head lights didn't get a great review (I had already ordered before I read it, so I siliconed the sh@t out of them), but the light output is much better than my old stock lights .... and I think they look way cooler :)

Thanks to A struggling actor who can't afford driving all over LA getting 12mpg and my loving wife, we now temporarily own not one, but two Land Cruisers. Both 2000s. One white one silver.

Let the parts swapping and rebuilding begin.

Congrats! Finally pulled the trigger. Cool. Pics, or it never happened :)

@dragoncruiser

Looks awesome! How much did the vinyl wrap cost?
I want to Plasti-Dip the entire truck :) HA

It was about $700 in vinyl and $200 to wrap it (labor is cheap in Nicaragua) plus another $150 in paint for the plastic parts and grill.

I am sure it doesn't compare to a top of the line vinyl wrap in the US which costs like $3k+, but for a 15 year old car that sees a lot of bad roads it was a good choice IMO.
Bets thing: everybody thinks I bought a new car :)

New and Old.

White is new and all stock.

Swapped the 295/75/16s onto the new one this morning before work.

Next up running boards and sliders for a trail run Saturday morning. Maybe I'll make a build thread for this one. Or an unbuild thread for the silver one.

I am 140 miles away from 200k. Will post up next week when it hits.

Possibly well past it since I have been on 33s since 100k. :<}

Rebooted my upper control arm ball joint with the OEM Toyota kit. Very easy, but what is up with that stupid spiral spring that comes in the kit? Threw that away and reused the much stronger spring that was already on the truck.

Took out the Toyota pioneer mp3 radio and fitted a AVH 5550BT straight outa Bangkok... very cool upgrade, didn't cut any wires, just stripped so I can reverse the procedure without too much hassle

Put the mic here for now, will decide where to put it when the reverse cam & proper App radio cable arrive

Fit straight into the standard setup, luckily the speakers tested at 4.3 ohms at the head unit end, so that must be a reading from the factory amp... Sounds good, can only really go half way on the volume or there is distortion on the speakers but nothing is blown so that's cool

Managed to get the speaker wiring correct first try, thanks to this forum, pink+ & Purple- front left, green+ & blue- front right, and the back 2 were red+ & white- left & black+ & yellow- IIRC

Jap 100 series is without a sub, but I have some 15 inch exit speakers that will fit nicely into an outback drawer system... One day

Installed the TJM sump protection plate and wired up the parking lights in the ARB bar.

After installing the new battery tray from Slee on Saturday and dropping in the new Sears DieHard Marine battery, went after an R&R of the rear brakes on '04 100 and replaced rear rotors with some really swanky drilled and slotted from Slee - went with stock pads based on Cristo's recommendation. Had to drive an hour to San Jose to get shim kit, though, as the 3 local Stealerships had pads but not shims - inventory control anyone?
