Well, went out to the cruiser this morning After 8” of rain and found the carpet in the passenger floorboard wet. Sunroof is seized up so can’t easily get in there to clean out the drains. I’m really hoping it’s not a windshield leak. Any other places I should look at? Where do roof rack leaks normally leak down to?
Roof racks leak down to that exact spot, passenger floorboard along the outer edge.

Just finished renovating my garage after my new driveway was poured. Used my 100 to haul home the wall art for the newly renovated garage!

Found on the side of the road with a FOR SALE sign…decisions where made

So far ordered:
Timing belt kit
Rear a/c block off kit
Condenser
Radiator and hoses
Drive belt and tensioner

AHC works but leaking due to corrosion, valves lots of corrosion, I don’t think it’s salvageable.

Definitely going to need a bolt buster to tackle some projects but seems like an OK vehicle to work on and have fun.

Got the rear brakes refreshed on our 2006 LC. The project started with a sticking driver’s side caliper. Inspection showed very worn pads and thin parking brake shoes. Replaced calipers, pads, rotors, parking brake shoes and a handful of springs and bits. During the process also replaced a messed up hub bolt. Very happy to finally have the truck on the road again. The parking break holds the vehicle in place now too!

Did you have any trouble removing the old PS vacuum valve? Mine's in there tight and I'm hesitant to go full-gorilla on it.
Mine was tight as well. I put the 17 mm wrench on it and gave it some hits with a rubber mallet and it broke free without much trouble.

For my aftermarket steering rack, I thought I would “upgrade” it a bit with Poly bushings. I stole these Nolathanes on eBay for $29!

Exhaust sensors (Airflow and Oxygen) as well as mass airflow by the intake now all new and the idle RPM is butter (699-704) under load with f/r AC turned on to 70°F

Next up is catalytic converter pull down to decarbonize it for the first time since vehicle rolled off the assembly line in 2006 so it can breath better.

View attachment 3981480Finally tore it this week. Automatically ordered a boot kit. Then I thought about how I already re-booted this side 6 years ago. Went ahead and took advantage of the sales this weekend.

Should’ve bought 2?
wait for the 25% sale to order the other axle if you don't need it ASAP. It ends up being $288ish per axle from Serra Toyota or other dealers.

When is the next 25% sale? Need a few things to refresh front suspensions.

Replaced the door rubber moulding (the ones that mount on the body) for the two front doors. A quick and easy job.
My old ones are a little compressed but no tears so of anyone wants them, you can have them for free.

If they are grey, and availible I’ll snag them. Mine are torn on the front doors.

I'm not in a hurry, need those replaced before next summer
That’s the tricky part. You just gotta wait and be patient. They haven’t had a sale in a while so one should be coming up soon I hope.
