Picked up a used Rig'd UltraSwing Mega-Fit in excellent condition which came with a RambleRack with the long stinger and Add-on rack. Got a killer deal. I expected to sell the bike racks since I've already got a 1Up Super Duty, but after putting them together and cleaning them off they're certainly well built and I'll probably keep.
Installed a phone mount from course motorsports today, slides on over one of the trim piece mounts. Ended up tucking the usb c wire inside the trim to not have a dangling wire out.
Probably in the future I’m going to go to a dash mount that I can put a ram ball on and then use a quad lock wireless charger that I can hardwire to the cigarette lighter but this works for the immediate use case.

I just ordered one of these a few days ago as well. Currently waiting for it to be delivered. How do you like it so far? How well does it hold your phone in place?

I haven’t really gone anywhere with it yet since I’m kinda adverse to going anywhere in the LX due to parking getting snatched up pretty quickly. Does seem like there was a little bit of wobble/rattle when I had the a/c on full blast.
Hell's last week. iPad via the seaksucker mount did great all week on all sorts of trails. Never came off.
Hell's is so less stressful with an automatic. Done it in a 60 and an 80 and way more fun in the 80.

Your PSI question........I had beat up my sidewalls pretty well on Porcupine and Hotel Rock so I left them up around 20 for the rest of the trip on trails. Normally, I'll dip into the middle teens.

Not a lightning guy, but the OEM fog lenses are pretty beat up. Picked up some 3D printed 100 Series fog light housings via the mud classifieds, and some Rigid whatever these are. Gonna give em a shot.

Filled it up with beach gear, passed 200k at some point while the wife was at the helm. Took a terrible picture 68 miles late from the passenger seat. A typical LC travel day

Didn't "do" it yet, but starting on my 2006. Morimotos into low beam location and Auxbeams into high beam location. The Morimotos should be easy. I know someone has Auxbeams in there, but haven't found a write up.
Is that a depo housing?
Noticed the coolant reservoir was empty, lo and behold my radiator was ready to give up the ghost. In parallel discovered the recent clunking in the suspension. $600 later and she has a new radiator, hoses, and sway bar endlinks.
Original radiator made it to 241,000miles!
PS Serra Toyota of Decatur did another fantastic packing job on the radiator. 2/2 I’ve received radiators in excellent condition.

There's just something about a minty OEM radiator with all the fins in perfect order.
Replaced the shift indicator plate with one from ZR Overland

Did plugs and coil boots today. Glad to have done it, a few plugs didn’t look great and the passenger side coil boots were really dry. Coils looked good for the most part, a couple look like they want to split at the seam but this should avoid that issue for a while I hope. Found that the ground by the heater Ts has been unplugged since I owned the vehicle with no apparent adverse impacts, but glad to have that back together too. Torqued the plugs to 16.5 ft-lbs, arbitrarily between Toyota’s value (13) and the upper end of what 2001LC here uses (18). None were super loose when I removed them but I do think that it runs slightly quieter so maybe the higher torque is helpful?
I’ve been driving around with a spare coil for a while but good to know how to actually replace them if one goes!

When valve cover bolts loosen with time and lack of maintenance, reduced tension on the valve cover can allow engine oil to weep past the spark plug tubes seals. It will show up as gummy buildup on the spark plugs.
You’ll notice it on the middle cylinders first, 3,4,5 and 6 are the furthest away from any valve cover bolts.
Suggest you re-torque all valve cover bolts…Keep those bolts properly torqued... usually fixes the issue without needing spark plug tube seals/valve cover gasket replacement.
