Added puddle lights back onto the LX. Stock connectors were available, but the ones on the underside of the truck were heavily corroded, so I hardwired them. I used a couple of those 60” pickup brake light kits and just wired the whites to the original wiring. That’ll let me use the reds later when I get a switch panel and some ditch lights.

While rare, it is possible that the outer bearing was defective. I assume you also replaced the races when you replaced the bearings?

Balanced the KO2s for the 4th time and about 35k miles. Did they fix this problem with the KO3s?
In 3 sets of KO2’s I never had a issue with balancing. Is there an issue.
Well, went out to the cruiser this morning After 8” of rain and found the carpet in the passenger floorboard wet. Sunroof is seized up so can’t easily get in there to clean out the drains. I’m really hoping it’s not a windshield leak. Any other places I should look at? Where do roof rack leaks normally leak down to?
Sunroof drain, or I think the air intake for the AC can fill up with water? Those vents below the windshield wipers can get clogged up I think
You can pop out the glass even if your sunroof is not operational. Just remove the inside trim surround (fragile) and four nuts.
Don’t have to drop the headliner? That sounds do-able pretty easily. I’ve messed with those plastic surrounds and yeah they feel pretty fragile. I never pulled hard enough to get a clip loose.
Correct. It’s easy to remove. I’m in the same boat with a non-working sunroof and I checked my drains periodically.

Got a key with a fob so I can unlock / lock via remote now.

Thanks they do look pretty oem, minus the center console I ordered the set for a LC but apparently the console lid on the LX is much smaller. They had to do an alteration to get it to fit.

My invoice says light gray 3968-9
I believe the -9 refers to the finish on the leatherette as you can opt for smooth or textured.
Sat afternoon, I put in a reman Toyota alternator ($269) with shipping and core charge. I wish I had just replaced everything when I did the timing belt. It would have so much easier. If I did timing belt over, (just did it in June) I would have done pump, timing tensioner, serp tensioner, both belts, ALTERNTATOR, steering pump, crank seal, idler pulley. Now that all of that has been replaced, it is a quiet smooth running engine. Had to go back and do serp. belt tensioner, idler and alternator after the initial timing belt.
Just mounted the Victory 4x4 roof rack. Needs valve cover gaskets and replacing the starter. Super excited for camping trip next month!
