After searching for the root cause of vibration I needed a success: bedlined my wiper arms 😂

Oh, bad news. I just read a research paper about the airflow over roughly textured wiper arms being a major contributor to perceived cabin vibrations. 😕

Just kidding!!! 😂😂😂
BTW: that‘s what Tesla solved via over the air update. The first 100 model 3‘s had wind noise. Software update, raise wiper by ~1degree and noise gone 😂🤘

I replaced mine in my garage. Not much to it.

Jim
I don’t have a garage, just a driveway. And it’s been going between cold and raining. I am also disabled and can’t do the physical labor like I used to… good days and bad days. But this can’t wait for a good day to coincide with good weather.

Super useful! That was a dark moonless night and I had to move a ton of stuff around to get my sleeping situation situated.

For funsies, here's a side-by-side of the original (top) vs the new (bottom):

Which leds did you go with? I replaced mine with white to match the Lexus side step cold cathode lights but now I have rock sliders so that doesn’t matter anymore. I like the look of yours, are they like 3500k or 4000k temp bulbs?

They are 3000k - 3500k color range. A little cooler than the original incandescent lights, but still warm.

The kit is from FullyLitLED - not sure what his source is.

Drove it to OKC from the Rockies for a long weekend shakedown.

This truck is a joy to drive. Also got a little wrenching on my brother’s FZJ80 just for good measure.

Replaced my rear upper & lower trailing arms. All the bushings were cracked and deteriorating. I was experienced wobbles at highway speed and this fix eliminated that. It was a pretty straight forward job that only took about an hour.
Upper TAs I removed were OEM. The lowers were SPC. I replaced both with new parts of what had been previously installed. The uppers were the original OEM with 320k on them. The lowers were SPCs that have about 50k hard miles on them.

Started baselining my new 2007 LX. The dealer replaced the left Cat the day I bought it for a P0430 code. Yesterday it popped a P0420…Dealer says they’ll replace that cat as well, but I’m not convinced the cat is actually bad, and I know they are going to be aftermarket. I cleaned the MAF and throttle body. Cleaned the PVC valve - was nasty and I could tell was replaced at some time. Replaced air filter and checked all the plugs. Running injector cleaner. The code went away today. Not sure how I want to proceed now…

I also flushed the AHC and adjusted it thanks to the ABCs of AHC thread. I only had one 2.5L jug of fluid and need some more, but I can’t find the 1L bottles for sale for less than a 2.5L jug. I hate to buy so much because those jugs don’t look resealable. AHC is working great, though.

Overall this rig had pretty good maintenance. Engine bay and undercarriage are immaculate. Someone spent a lot of time replacing vacuum and fuel hoses and keeping everything wrapped and orderly. The only thing that appears broken is the Nav system. It says “insert correct disk”. I can here it spinning and tried another known good disk, so I guess it’s toast.

it would appear you need a battery hold down

Check out the grom vline2 product that can replace your factory nav w CarPlay / android auto. It’s a pretty penny but looks awesome.

Thanks. It does have the GROM bluetooth installed. I've seen the Apple Car play GROM, but not sure I want to drop the coin for it when I have everything on my phone and its free...

Are the OEM cats discontinued?

Why are there 2 different style hose clamps on the top radiator hose?
