Is there an LED replacement for the tube- type bulbs?
Yes! There are LED replacement bulbs for those “tube” type bulbs. Lots and Lots of cheap interior light kits on Amazon. I even found the ones for the vanity lights in the visors. Let me know if you need help finding them, I’ll see if I can find the link for them.
The picture was for reference. I didn’t even know the PCV valve was a maintenance part and my inner circle of trailing buddies drive 100s and 4th gen 4Runners with the V8 so we all did them and that one was the worst and it was 5 years newer than mine which made me wonder how bad mine looked lol.
Someone can correct me if wrong but 98-02 is grommet style and 03+ is the thread in style.
Good day this afternoon. Got a deep clean done after hauling dogs and lots of mulch. Put on a new shifter plate and a new bulb in my seat heater switch.
Installed a new “atoto” headunit in place of an old one that gave out. Pretty solid for $140 with Apple CarPlay. Figuring out a bug with the backup camera thou
Replaced driver’s door handle and passenger’s mirror. Both were broken on account of trail incidents…trees mostly
Replacing the door handle there are three 10mm bolts. Last one is accessible through a hole in the backside door with a clear weatherproofing sticker over it. With the handle pulled out the bolt is accessible.
For the mirror, door card etc is removed. Pretty straight forward replacement
Currently helping a buddy upgrade his wife’s rig while she’s on vacation; does anyone have any insight on getting the ARB LED fogs (for the ARB bumper) working. They won’t work using the OEM fog wiring, and for some reason they won’t work when connecting an ARB harness directly from the battery to the lights…..
She gets back Wednesday and I feel responsible for peer pressuring him hahaha

Replaced fluid in 2 diffs and transfer case Mobil 1 75/90. Lubed drive shaft. Bled brake fluid. Bled power steering fluid. Basically getting the vehicle to a baseline of PM's. New Yokohama GO15's including spare OEM size. May get larger tires eventually once I am comfortable with performance. So far excellent. 195K on 06 LX470. Oil change next month with Mobil 1. May swap sound system for Tesla style...not sure yet. I will be repairing the foam on the sub and rear speakers....FL vehicle so foam dry rotted in speakers. Great idea for thread!

The Atoto radios are a fabulous and cost effective stereo. I especially like the version with an Android OS that allows me to install a use apps from the playstore.

Finally got around to prep and paint the frame section under the master cylinder.
Previous owner had a massive leak that dumped fluid and was left to strip the paint off everything in its path. Fortunately, the E-coat on the fender well is still intact.
He must of had it happen once before since there was a textured paint applied, some of which still remains. Wish I had stripped the rest of it off but had already had a section treated with oshpo and 2 coats of red/brown before I really noticed it.
