Finally mounted my fridge properly in my tray. Built the little stand and ran 4 stainless wire loops on turn buckles.

Taking a punt on using M10 nutserts in the tray, hoping that 11 nutserts will be enough to not eventually rip through!

When I bought her the sunroof was sealed shut, but ever since we started hitting trails I’ve longed to have it functional. This was the weekend. About a day and a half and a few naughty words later it was rewarding to have it function. I don’t think I’m done futzing yet, but totally functional.

BTW, the FSM lies when it shows the releases for the rear heater control are in the corners. The 20+yr old plastic didn’t take kindly to prying. Hopefully this pic helps someone in the future.

If You have all the pieces, SuperGlue, will fix that, at least for the short term so that You still have HVAC during the interim?

It's totally functional, just not pretty.

Care to share the link? Mike has sent me links to most other parts for my BIO rear but I always forget to ask for these. Thanks in advance!

Replaced the fuse block (82720-60023) and the fusible link (82620-60010) in an effort to cure the crank but no start issue. That still didn't solve the issue! Then noticed the EFI relay is getting warm after a couple of longer cranks. Tapped on it a couple of times and wham! the truck started. Now I am looking for a replacement EFI relay (still looking for the part number!). Hopefully that will fix this issue for good.

Reboot!

My PS inner boot has been slowly leaking for quite a while now but with no visible issue with the boot itself. When I was in Boise last month we tried to snug up the small end but it ended up tearing on my journey east. I left the outer alone as these axles have less than 70k on them and if it ain’t broke…

Aah the dark art of removing a CV axle without having to remove the knuckle! Tried hard, I did, to no avail.

Changed the oil and filter, tapped a bit of rust on the frame, and discovered rust is like an iceburg - there's a lot more to it than appears on the surface :(

I figured I would at least give it a shot before pulling the LBJ. It wasn't real easy but now I've got the hang of it. I did need an extra set of hands to hold the knuckle up for reinstallation, if I was on my own I would have removed the knuckle for sure. Glad that it's behind me and I've earned the knowledge.

Replaced 2-KO2's while swapping OG spare tire from under the truck. Kept it for whatever reason. Discount tire - $313ea before all the xxtra$- warranty tax blah.. But got $50 off. expensive hobby we have here🤑 my 1st fresh set were absolutely amazing on terrible Michigan roads the 1st year.. Didn't research any other offerings. The other tires have some good life in them still. I assume to bring the old rears-straight forward-to the front & the new pair to the rear..

If you're only replacing a pair put the new ones up front out back.

That's a really bad idea! You want the most traction in the rear, otherwise real slides out in slippery conditions

Power is useless without control.
Also the front wears faster because of the weight of the drivetrain over them and the fact that it steers and has power going to it.
