Swapped out alternator for a Autotech Engineering 320A high output model. After some research online it was one of several reputable alternator companies recommended and it had more reasonable prices than some of the very high end ones. The most expensive ones were $900+, I got this one for $350.

Can confirm that you can remove and install the alternator without removing the fan shroud or radiator hoses.

I did have access to a lift however and I removed the front right wheel and the plastic piece that separates the engine bay from the wheel well. You also have to take out the studs that holds the power steering pump in place and move it to the side.

I used a 2230mm belt with the smaller pulley and it fit perfect. Added a 0 gauge power cable with a 300A circuit breaker.

Threw on a Victory 4x4 roof rack along with a lightbar. Chose it over the Prinsu because it had “grab handles” and sat further forward. However, I did use the Prinsu install video (didn’t like Victory 4x4’s video instructions). 😄

I have the same one and I like it, I got mine for the same reason, I like the handles.

What wire shroud are you using? That is nice.

After beating the crap out of my rear bumper over the past couple of years, I actually managed to bend the pin slightly.
Thanks to mike at bump it off-road.
Sent me a direct link and made it easy.

Had to replace the pulley idler earlier today. The engine started making a loud mechanical grinding noise and when I popped the hood it was shooting sparks out of the idler.

Where was the leak if you don't mind me asking? I've got the same radiator.

Not at all—it's tough to see now that everything is dry, but it pooled small amounts of coolant at the bottom tank around the middle.

Care to share the link? Mike has sent me links to most other parts for my BIO rear but I always forget to ask for these. Thanks in advance!

How did the truck feel after the bushing refresh? I have new bushings on my bench, just waiting on time to get it done.
Finished it up and went for a short drive on the routes roads. I no longer have the jiggling motion in the rear! And the rear feels a lot more planted too! I still have to load her up and go for a longer drive to get a better feel.

But it needs a new fuse block before that could happen

When I bought her the sunroof was sealed shut, but ever since we started hitting trails I’ve longed to have it functional. This was the weekend. About a day and a half and a few naughty words later it was rewarding to have it function. I don’t think I’m done futzing yet, but totally functional.

BTW, the FSM lies when it shows the releases for the rear heater control are in the corners. The 20+yr old plastic didn’t take kindly to prying. Hopefully this pic helps someone in the future.

This 2006 was stock when I purchased it. I have done some interior stuff but, do to it now having 206+ on the clock and having NO idea when/if the timing belt has/had been changed, it was time to do some work. While it was in the shop (Over the Mountain Cruisers, Birmingham Alabama) getting the t-belt and heater t's done, I decided to add an ARB bumper, Diode dynamics pro fogs mounted in the arb bumpers cutouts (more on that later), 30' single stack light bar (Amazon special), Baja designs squadron ditch lights mounted on Ronin metal brackets (The hands down best IMHO) , and under body puddle lights mounted to the Owl Expedition mounts.

I checked your content for the "more on that later" for the Diode Dynamic Fogs. I'm planning to do the same thing and don't really want to spring for the slee inserts. How did yours mount up?
