Any particular reason you switched? I'm looking at both options, I've run KO2s before and they felt reasonably comfortable on road but any improvement would be nice.Swapped out the KO2s for Falken Wildpeaks (285/75/16). Not been off the hard with them yet but they are much quieter, smoother ride than the KO2s on road. Looking forward to getting into some snow...
Did you maintain it/throw it on a AGM charger every so often?X2Power 27F battery is toast. 5yr warranty and it s***s out at exactly 5yrs and 4monOh well, it had a great run! I was very pleased with it and never had any issues, even after running it down several times over the years. I will be getting another one. Might step down from size 27 to 24 to make a little more room in the engine bay. The 24 still has 840CCA compared to the 930CCA in the 27. May also make a new battery tray but we'll see if I have the motivation hah
Every now and then I would especially after long camping trips or if I used my winch a lot, but I would say the majority of the time it was not. Don't mind the 5 or so times I've run it down to ~6VDid you maintain it/throw it on a AGM charger every so often?
I've never weighed mine, but using published weights on my 17" FN 5 Star wheel and 33" C rated KO2 it should be 70lbs.Weighed one of my F5 wheels and tires I like quick acceleration, braking, handling over mass. I want to keep wheel and tire weight under 75 lbs. I think it worked out.

Yup, originally bought 32" E KO2s and didn't like braking performance, so sold those and got 33" C KO2s. It's amazing what a few pounds less of unsprung weight changes the feel. I was a forged JDM whore when I was younger, wasn't going that route on the 100.Good to know. I bet you like how it feels?

Yup, I remember my college classmates made fun of me for buying lightweight forged wheels, they were like you could just lose 10lbs. They didn't understand the unsprung part.Absolutely! It's just physics. Looking back I've jacked up a few decent handling/performing cars in the past by thinking bigger and heavier was better.
Usually, I would sell or trade the victim soon afterward so I didn't have to live with my mistake.
I did forget and jacked up my Tacoma for a short while with some heavy metal wheels and oversized tires. Fortunately, I was able to return wheels and tires over another defect while moving to a larger but lighter wheel and tire combination. That restored handling and performance.
For the 100, I think coming to terms with and learning how to enjoy and leverage the truck's natural capabilities (with some minor enhancements) will give the best bang for the buck.

WHY DO LIGHTWEIGHT WHEELS MAKE SUCH A DIFFERENCE WHEN CLIMBING?
Reducing the mass of the wheels-especially the rims and tires can save a lot more energy than removing considerably more mass from the bicycle or rider.roadbikeaction.com
Sweet! Glad you got it on there. You'll probably be the winning draw for a rack next year at Solid Axle Summit LOL. Here's to the rack serving for many adventures.Today I installed my Bowfin Cruisers Roof Rack from @dogfishlake
I did most of the work in my living room out of the wind and cold then had my husband, @mesa man, and my son, Dylan, help me load it on before I tightened all the bolts down. I’m really excited about this new rack, it feels sturdy and ready for our long adventures!
Thanks Pat! I have been looking forward to this day for a LONG time!
