I'm looking to start the amp bypass myself. Did you just pull the wires from the head down to the amp outputs, or did you go all the way to the speakers? I've done stereos, but this is more in depth than I'm used to. Trying to find all the threads about it on here to read up before I start.
The easy way to do it is to extend the wires from the head unit (using the wire bundle I linked) and connect it to the speaker output wires coming from the amp. I had issues finding something in the forums that documented it step by step so I just used the diagram from beatsonic.

Here’s a pic of the connector I cut (Connector S10 [reference “B” in the diagram]) to tap into the OEM speaker wires:

Lots of preventative maintenance this week.

My upper cooling pipe (unsure of technical name) is blown to hell, can anyone recommend a filler they’ve had good luck with?

Finishing up install of the valve cover job and figured out the old spark plug tube seals are excellent drivers for the new seals. Rubber coated so they won’t damage the new seals and cup around the old seal nicely. :)

New Member to 100 series but long time Mud member as I've had several LC's. Still own a '73 FJ40 built for the Con that I purchased stock in 1986. Bought this 2002 just recently from original owner, garage kept, and bone stock, 161,000 miles. In the last 2 weeks added a Heavy duty OME lift, Light Racing Front UCA's, fabbed up 4x4 Labs kits for rear bumper and sliders, Dissent 3 piece aluminum skid pan, 33" Goodyear Ultra Terrain, Ironman Awning. Waiting for a TJM front bumper to arrive and will add a new in the box Rugged Ridge 10,000lb syn winch. Leaving to Death Valley this Saturday for a week.

THis happening to mine also, as well as some leaks still after I went to it with a file. I just shaved back the scum wiped it a few times. Made sure I tightened the hose clamp about 3 seperate times after driving. Replacement is probably better.

Yeah I will end up replacing it, but I dont think i need to remove the intake again to get at it. Right now im gonna seal it up w pifg; I need to get this pile running again :steer:

It will be very rewarding once you get it all buttoned up.
Are brake pads being replaced too?

Took off my loose drip moldings and was pleasantly surprised to find no rust. The molding was bent and held in by only one T15 bolt (an interesting choice) and the wind noise was pretty bad. Thankfully it looks like the holes were only slightly enlarged by the screws. I have all new parts on order. Fingers crossed that I can get the factory rivets to work.

Anyone have a recommendation for a cheap rivet gun?
