Began running my extended diff breathers. Should have done this a long time ago but alas, here we are. Hardest part of the whole job is working around the skid plates which I don't feel like removing.

Hoping this will alleviate some leaking of my rear axle seal. Will drive it as it it for a week or two and see if it's any better.

Nice. I haven't seen that before? Where is it from?

Put an update on my build thread (link in the signature) but a couple items knocked off:
Yak Track with ram device mounts
Pioneer CarPlay Head Unit
Reverse Camera
Stained the inside of the drawers
New cutting board/counter top - walnut with cherry inlay, grooves to slide on top of the drawer

Oil report and some other CNC stuff over on my build thread as well.

Is this with factory ahc or without? Can it be done with ahc? I’m a newbie as you probably can tell with the question.. I have a stock 06 that I have some plans to
Put a drawer system with gear and fridge that I want to keep in rear. Wondering if it will pull the rear down and need some help.
OR will it self level with ahc??
I have ahc. Front and rear bumpers w/ sliders no drawers but some gear in the tailgate. I removed the rear seats. Does fine on the daily driving but when I load it to go camping with a trailer the ahc suffers. I supplemented with air lift air bags. Which has done fine for the past few yrs but now, more gear and bigger kids now I can’t go to High. I just put standard springs on to test that out.

You’ll likely be fine daily driving but when get fully loaded for a trip you’ll likely need assistance. Airlifts are great option and adjustable to your load. It’s best to monitor your ahc pressures.

Options for additional weight for ahc:

Some use the spacer as a preload to the spring.
Air lift bags.
King springs from Australia.
80 series springs.
100 series Lc springs.

Ah modern technology. What an upgrade from the Nakamichi. And you wouldn't believe the sound quality!

Reality: had to button things up briefly to drive some places and still have climate control. Waiting on a couple parts and will have a new headunit with wireless Carplay/Android Auto and backup camera installed. I think it will modernize the truck a ton.
what is it? sub?

Did an impulse thing today and now excited to get this powder-coated. I’m feeling metallic gloss black topped with 2k polyurethane clear :grinpimp: color of the hundy is a silver LX, any other recommendations?

found the ugliest colour ever put on a car tho, and I tried spraying this thing when I drove it as a taxi. Worst colour ever . metallic too OOoer

No accent, just the plain old monotone silver LX. Everything factory on the body and yes it still has the chrome lining on the claddings.
Again? Lol she’s on mag blue wheels now. But I saw one it’s on steel rims non-metallic straight color grey+blue-ish (like the FJ40 factory steelies) man that thing is a beauty. how about gun metal or I saw one like matte brown something like that. I'm going through 100 pics now trying to get inspiration from existing builds.

Haha, I did put a new sub in, but the pic is just a crappy Bluetooth speaker sitting in my empty double din slot while I wait on a part to finish the stereo.

1. Replaced the hood struts with OEM. It's amazing what a difference new struts make.

I slightly cross threaded the hood threads and slightly stripped the bolt when replacing it and had to fix the threads.
So in case anyone else has the same issue, the threads at 8mm x 1.25. All good once I re-threaded (or whatever its called).

2. Replaced the AHC fluid and adjusted the torsion bars. It drives noticeably better and I feel great that I have that fresh pink fluid in the system.

3. Put in WeatherTech All weather mats. Didn't do the floor liners as I didn't like the lip they appeared to have and the reviews were super mixed. The fronts are exact match. The second row is a generic size that you have to cut. I used the existing mat to make a template and I cut from there. I think they look great and I feel much better getting into the cruiser with mud and crap on my sneakers.

Ordered a new front diff.

A couple of weeks back a small consistent knocking noise started up. Only occurred under power, not while coasting. Slowly got worse. The amazing thing is she still drives.
The gear oil looked like a mirror. I am ordering what I believe to be the safest and best route,OEM. The original made it to 170,000 miles. 40,000 of which have come under my none too subtle driving methods.
I cannot imagine anything outperforming that.

I'm confused, your diff busted? Or are you just replacing fluid?
