Put the 3d printer to work, and made a panel for USB chargers. 😎

I got my hub-centric Spidertrax spacers from Slee so thanks for the back-order / wait-list support @sleeoffroad. Their communications were stellar and the delivery date ETA was spot on. These new ones are painted grey and look factory upon install. I will post some pics at the 50 mile torque check fellas... 🧐

The Rock Warriors wrapped in Falken Wildpeak A/T3Ws look pretty stellar.

A Very Special Thanks again to @jeproks for his generosity in the wheel and tire package sale. These Rock Warriors couldn't be any nicer than this IMHO.

The Rock Warriors appear to be custom color matched against the Blue Vapor lower cladding...

Couldn't be happier with the look mates.

Cheers,

Dropped the OEM spare this morning and wound the RW and Falken into position...

She extends a little bit further below where the OEM hung but it will do until I can get a bumper to hang it on...

Cheers mate,

For the last 2 days I got inspected and subsequently registered/raped by Dallas county. Then took out the stock 22 year old stereo and amp and replaced it with some Alpine and Infinity goodness. I made a clear plexiglass mount for the amp and used 2 of the mounting points from the stock amp. Today I might start on the sub and whenever I can get some spacers for the door speakers I'll get those installed.

Replaced front diff/cv oil seal. I messed it up during cv reboot over 6 months ago (probably) or it's just age.

Found this crank pulley tool perfect fit to push new seal in

Replaced DS cv axle and hub, repacked bearings. Pulled off front/rear bumpers and trim. Replaced upper and lower bumper supports due to rust. Fixed bumper and molding scrapes. Took my first hack at spraying. Turned out awesome. Going to do the rims to match next. Will post a pic when I mount the bumpers and trim.

I installed a couple of these bolt in D-ring tie downs to better hold my cooler and water jug: D-Ring Tie Down Anchor 12x 1/4'' Stainless Steel D-Rings Trailer D Ring Tie Downs, 700lbs D-Ring Bracket, D Ring Mounting Plate Tie Down Points for Ratchet Tie Down Straps Car Truck Bed Cargo - - Amazon.com

I also cut up an old camping pad and put it under the carpet for hopefully better sleeping. I'm hoping this will reduce the lumpyness of the seat mounting brackets by rasing up the floor around them.

Was it hard to get the carpet back down after you put the foam pad down?

Time for new window seals and trim in the cargo area. Couldn't stand the squeak any longer, and couldn't see the point of not replacing the seals while I had the interior somewhat torn apart. Cry once, as they say. It was actually easier than I anticipated...I think I had both sides done in under 2 hours.

All three front hinge nuts were loose, and one was missing entirely.

The squeak isn't totally gone—I think perhaps the hinge next to the motor has worked loose over time. :bang: I didn't have the good sense to test drive it before reinstalling all the interior trim.

Replaced the camshaft position sensor. Did not take pics, but I accessed it by just removing the coolant hoses in front of the timing cover then ruining my knuckles reaching inconvenient bolts and maneuvering the timing cover.

The dealership who did the timing belt service 20k ago left too much slack in the wire for the sensor and it was rubbing the belt. Over time this caused it to penetrate the wire housing and cause a fault.

On the bright side, performance at idle and accelerating is definitely improved. I think the sensor may have been affecting ignition timing a bit and finally got to the point where it threw a code. For those of you replacing timing belts over 150k, might be a decent idea to go ahead and replace that part since it’s easily accessed during that service and not a very expensive part.

I spent 6 hours yesterday trying to rehab two older lumbar adjustment motors and mechanisms to work "like I remember". Tore apart the motors, greased everything, checked voltages out of switch on seat, saw both motors go clockwise and counter-clockwise as designed.

Put the motors and mechanisms back in - no change.

Chasing memories is usually not the best idea .....
