Weekend starts now !!! Well atleast in Qatar.

This week I will be having the privilege of driving my friends 2003 LC100. My lc100 is being worked on.

After 220k miles of use he decided to rebuild his 1fze. It got done yesterday with a + .50mm bore OEM pistons and head port and polish

He is out of the country so he will be counting on me to break it in and get it ready for him.

First trip I took was to the dunes to cruise around, forgot how smooth the kings were. Man lc100s ride smoother than the 200 series no doubt. They just feel more balanced and planted, especially the rear end. Washboard roads and humps are buttery smooth. Such a pleasure to drive. Offcourse no WOT , vary engine load for the first 800 miles. Im actually at the dunes writing this as we speak.

I will be suprising him by installing new total chaos UCAs and a superior engineering diff drop kit which is something he was anticipating for a while ! (Ill post before and after pics when I do)

Nice, what kind of lights? I'm assuming just plug and play on the factory side step harness?
Here is the link, owl expedition recommended these ones initially. The color is great nice and white, you can definitely see where the majority of the light shows though. Yes owl expedition sells some generic Toyota quick connect for the harness for like$5 which I bought as well. I really liked the lights before I took off the running board and dig the brighter light, you'd be able to see if you dropped stuff getting into your car.

Took us home from Massachusetts back to Seattle like a champ a couple weeks ago. What a great machine. 2UZ is awesome.

Time for some new shocks:

I am new to the 100 series. Coming from the 40 forum OCD Bettle has a really successful, fun thread where we post a pic of wheeling, a fix, a new part, etc. for our trucks.

It's neat to see the mix of projects, daily driving issues, weekend wheelin reports, etc.

I thought the 100 forum could use one...

I'll start...today I ordered an Iron Man 2 inch lift kit for my 99'.
AB 6 speed VDJ200 gearbox to be fitted to my 100 series, 4.2 diesel turbo 1hd-fre !!!! Sound crazy but looking for a way out !? Any ideas !!!?

All done pimping his ride.

1. Total chaos upper control arms

2. Shaved front bumpstops bumpstops to max out up travel

3. Superior engineering torsion bars (significantly stiffer than expected) + 1.75 inch lift for more uptra

4. Superior engineering diff drop kit.

5. Rear reservoir relocation

6. Nitrogen dropped from 200 to 150 PSI

Any chance you can post or pm me the part #'s of all the hardware you're replacing with the shocks?

Do you know if the Kings have special valving or just stock valving?

Any difference in ride quality with the new torsion bars? Or still buttery smooth?

What springs are in the rear?

I got my hub-centric Spidertrax spacers from Slee so thanks for the back-order / wait-list support @sleeoffroad. Their communications were stellar and the delivery date ETA was spot on. These new ones are painted grey and look factory upon install. I will post some pics at the 50 mile torque check fellas... 🧐

The Rock Warriors wrapped in Falken Wildpeak A/T3Ws look pretty stellar.

A Very Special Thanks again to @jeproks for his generosity in the wheel and tire package sale. These Rock Warriors couldn't be any nicer than this IMHO.

The Rock Warriors appear to be custom color matched against the Blue Vapor lower cladding...

Couldn't be happier with the look mates.

Cheers,

Ok, I think these are the correct lower shock hardware pieces.... I could be wrong though but its what I ordered. The shocks came with the top mount nuts and new rubber bushings.

No difference in ride quality from the "special valving" from accu tune offroad. I tried standard valving kings and they all ride buttery smooth and are very stable. I will be getting standard valving kings for my own rig.

I still did not test the torsion bars, Ill test them today and see.

Stock rear coil springs with a 3cm rubber spacer.

It's crazy how I can blast through the small whoop section with this LC100 at 50-60mph and my long travel 200 cant do it without being uncomfortable and or bucking. Makes me feel foolish and r for spending all that time and money, all I should have done was get a 100 with kings no need to change anything else!, that's it. I will make a video and show you guys what I am talking about, it is incredible how well these LC100s perform.

I think many of us have "been there-done that" at one time or another @ToyotalsLife. One thing is for sure in all these experiments... We have to keep telling ourselves we are looking cool while we are at it...

Installed new antenna old one came out easy and new one went in easy but I can't get the chrome locking ring back on just yet. Ran a test with viair 350c and my 4 air hose, took 10 minutes to go from 20 psi to 35 psi then another 5 minutes to go to 40 psi on 285/65/18s. Cleaned out the blower there was a leaf in there.

Will do once I find a camera man thats able to come to the dunes. Still not dune season (Hot weather) so its diffcuult to convince someone to come just to shoot a video😂

I plan on shooting a video of the lc100 hitting a wide veraity of bumps so you guys can see how it takes it.

in the mean time i am at the dunes as we speak testing the upper control arms and the new torsion bar
