May I see an interior pic please it's black onyx wood ya? Awesome rare ride!
I am currently trying to get my cooling fan/clutch off. 3 bolts off with no problem but the fourth one happens to be a 1/2” nut. Nice. I can’t find a way to leverage anything to keep the thing from spinning when I tap/crank on the nut. Ugh (as usual). And I also found a leak (I am thinking the main seal).
Thanks man! I am absolutely beyond happy with how it turned out and taken the car to the next level.@RuskiE39 that looks awesome!
No difference in ride quality from the "special valving" from accu tune offroad. I tried standard valving kings and they all ride buttery smooth and are very stable. I will be getting standard valving kings for my own rig.
I still did not test the torsion bars, Ill test them today and see.
Stock rear coil springs with a 3cm rubber spacer.
It's crazy how I can blast through the small whoop section with this LC100 at 50-60mph and my long travel 200 cant do it without being uncomfortable and or bucking. Makes me feel foolish and r for spending all that time and money, all I should have done was get a 100 with kings no need to change anything else!, that's it. I will make a video and show you guys what I am talking about, it is incredible how well these LC100s perform.
Hmm interesting. I've got Radflos with remote rez that match the Kings you've got and I definetly don't share the same sentiment where I'd be able to blast through whoops at 50-60mph. Mine are valved to the standard 200psi. I think I'd be extremely uncomfortable and my 100 would break somewhere.
I am extremely curious as to what you're getting from those Kings.
Thanks,I stole a trick from Mud (@spressomon i think). A wood stick 3/4”x3/4” about 7” long. Brace the top nut with it. Rotate and repeat. Leave all the nuts on their studs until they’re all broken loose so you have something to brace against instead of just the stud. Long handled flare wrench helped. This was a bear for me until I got a handle on this technique. I also picked up replacement nuts when I saw it would be difficult, before I really dug in, gave me the confidence to really pull on them and not be too paranoid about rounding them off, it’s real soft metal on those nuts. Good luck
Thanks,
I’ll see what I can do. I’ll make the stick and give it a try. Thanks for the help.
I finally got the fourth bolt off! The replacement Aislin fan clutch is a little different (the blue hub one). It has threaded posts (and no nuts) to attach to the fan while the old one has the bolt and nut together. So now I got to find some bolts for the fan. Plus I need to get some new bolts to attach the clutch to the engine cuz the ones I took off are in varying degrees of roundedness ( not to mention the one that is a 1/2” bolt). I’m thinking the old clutch is not original since it says made in the USA?I stole a trick from Mud (@spressomon i think). A wood stick 3/4”x3/4” about 7” long. Brace the top nut with it. Those shocks are chunky chonky!Got a few jobs done myself, new front shocks, fixed up rear camera wiring, ordered new extended/soft riding bump stops and extended front sway bar links.
XTR's fitted, ride on road ride feels the same as my old OME shocks, hit some pot holed dirt roads, feel is similar/slightly improved, wont really known till I hit the tracks.
I have 17'' rims
Rim to guard at ride height 767mm
Rim to guard at full droop OME 835mm
