Do you not ♥ Wilbur quite as much as the previous owner?
Guess that remains to be seen. I actually left that sticker, but took off their website sticker (Working On Wilbur). They probably could have had some interesting posts for this thread, as they lived out of Wilbur for the past three years, driving him to Tierra del Fuego and back.

I'm trying out the Costco branded 5W-30 Full Synthetic motor oil this go around. OEM oil filter, so I can make a super duper accurate comparison to the Mobil 1 5W-30 ;)

Not this week, but last Tuesday replaced front brakes, calipers, rotors. Also replaced inner/outer wheel bearings with @cruiseroutfit wheel bearing service kit. Once you get the hang of getting the cone washers to pop free it's a pretty easy job.

Then 2 days later went on a 4 day, 3 night car camping/ exploring trip starting in Northern VT on the Canadian border (literally) and zig-zagging approximatly South-West across the state into Massachusetts. About 950 round trip miles. ~500 of those were exploring the backcountry of VT and other various cool spots. ~225 of those 500 miles in VT were on dirt. Mostly washboard/ semi maintained roads and a decent amount of un-maintained Class IV's. All that rattling around helped free up my e-locker and now it works almost immediately. Winning.

Was headed out to the deer lease in the Texas hill country over the weekend so I installed the Delta Vehicle Systems shovel/axe bracket just in time. Played with a couple of spots including the roof rack but I want the latter to have the lowest possible profile as much as possible. Found a good spot off of the ladder that doesn't affect visibility and doesn't interfere with the lift gate. Ran it out on the ranch all day on Sunday, over very rough stuff, no issues. The bracket is beefy and very well designed, super happy with it.

What is the filter on the left from? I recently replaced my cabin air filters (looks like the ones on the right) but I'd be interested in learning a little more about the larger one.

Thank you!

The engine.

Much to my wife's chagrin, what's good for the goose is good for the gander! New rear wipers (Ebay specials) for both the Melon and Luna.

Used some gifts cards to man math the purchase of some fresh new Denso coils. Pretty easy to do and noticed a nice little urgency to the mid range pull (butt dyno?)

Noticed that there is still the strong gas smell at start up from the exhaust though. Do I need to reset the computer? Not throwing any codes.

Cleaned up my oxidized headlights with a ceramic coat kit and replaced my cracked corners. Not super happy with the knockoff corners, the plastic is a bit too clear rather than having a slight tint. Fine for now, but I’ll probably replace with OEM at some point.

also lifted my buddy’s new Xterra.

I am looking to do this as well I've hit them with some rubbing compound and a porter cable buffer - did you sand paper them?

hey man, u still got the old ones? what's the dimensions of the 2 on the right. Just wondering I'm going to properly measure my insert soon and see if those standard ones fit.
I believe same size filters 98 to 07, I didn't find otherwise when I did the research few years ago.

The engine.

Yep

So last week I got the badly peeling hood resprayed, installed some LASFIT LED low beam lights and went trailing. Very excited to test the LED's out in the night now that we're losing daylight.
