Installed my Tough Dog adjustable pan hard bar with fresh OEM hardware, so much beefier than the stock bar. I matched the eyelet to eyelet length of my oem bar. Thanks @TRAIL TAILOR !

I installed rear Timbren bump stops, from @just differentials. These have the modified mount, to clear the rear spring. I forgot to take a picture of them installed. Need to install the fronts tomorrow.

Lastly, I removed my stock rear sway bar and was going to install an uprated superpro bar with fresh oem hardware. But broke off a bolt on the passenger side mount. So need to take off the tire to drill it out tomorrow.

4 gallon on board water system for quick rinse when sweaty and cleaning utensils. About $50 from harbor freight. All you need is 25 ft air hose, and 2 1/4 brass splicers from lowes. This will do until can get one of those fancy smanchy systems.

Stole the idea from YouTube below but used the 4 gallon backpack version, and 2 splicers instead of 1.

Will pair up nicely with my tuff stuff shower tent that moutn on roof rack.

Installed 2 Stedi AU Rock Lights onto my BIOR rear bumper. Wired up to come on during reverse.

Will be mounting and wiring 2 additional lights soon to my Trail Tailor rear hatch brackets. Will have these lights controlled by my SPOD for when I need that extra punch of light or setting up my trailer at night.

Another rear wheel lug - subsequent to simple oil change and wheel rotation.

New rule: Never remove a wheel without replacement lugs and nuts in hand.
I've got at least one of these to do on my new-to-me truck. Have been delaying because it's real hot out and I just don't wanna.

How big a pain in the ass is it?

Hi Guys,

Broken tank strap started the ball rolling.. new tank guard & straps bought from UAE, paid more for shipping and import duty. Ouch!.

Removed tank, have new fuel filler pipe to go on too, couldn't get the old one off without levering the body, not to keen on forcing the new one in the same way as it will certainly scratch the paint.

Sooo. of course I undid all the body mounting bolts and lifted the body 1''

Big thanks to all the posts on here for info I didn't know, becoming quite knowledgable now.. :)

Laying under my truck on fathers day, one happy Dad.

Not sure yet. I get a lot of road noise because the carpet was out and door panels are off. I'll have to get back to you on that. Others have said that it works. It's cheap. About $75 to do entire vehicle except roof.
I will vouch and highly recommend kilmat. Put my door cards back on and have been riding around the last 30 minutes in my vehicle is significantly quieter. Maybe a placebo.

Installed DBA Kangaroo Paw Rotors and OE pads at all 4 corners, repacked front bearings, installed correct axle C-Clips from Cruiser Outfitters, and replaced hardware and bolts. It stops well, is quiet, and looks halfway cool. Let me know if anyone needs part numbers or has questions. I only took one picture during install!

Sunday Funday! Finally got around replacing my shot KYB hood dampers. These Strongarm replacements seem to be the same length! Now I can finally ditch that 2x4 hood prop and fear of chopping my head off! Hopefully these last a good amount of time.

Happy Fathers Day to you all!

This week I fixed a broken bolt on my front sway bar and have finished all of the sway bar bushings.

Also disappointed that yesterday I received a new door stop for my drivers side door and today I installed it, tested the door and immediately broke the new one. It creaks like a MF. Looks like at one time it was damaged and something either on the door or the body is out of alignment. Not sure what to do about it yet. Just disappointed at the moment. I guess I will have to talk to a body shop and try to get some advice.

This weekend’s fun:

1. Replaced cigarette lighter with Blue Sea dual usb. Easy job (half banana). While I had the center console removed I took the time to clean around the switches and edges.

2. Heater T replacement. Hoses are still in good shape so I ordered brass T’s and hose clamps to replace the OEM T and clamps. Hardest part of the job was stretching across the engine to reach it.

Happy Father’s Day to all!

Man, my LX470 is petty quiet. Although my other car is an FJ62. So I guess it's all relative.

FYI most LX470’s are quieter than their Toyota counterparts because they have additional weatherstripping seals throughout the cabin.
