Those are cool. My wife has started doing stained glass and I have been playing while I am supposed to be taking it easy. Those would make some cool pieces.Would anyone be interested in a drawing of their rig????

Sweet I’ll get on it, email or something I can send it to when done? Have a preference on color of the truck? That would be awesome! A front view of a 40 like the 55 would be cool if you have one.

I used the Loncky kit and it took about 4 hours. Removing the steering wheel makes it much easier IMO.Looks great! About to try that myself.

If memory serves, I remember the original Land Cruiser oil filter being 15601-41010 and were superseded by 90915-YZZD3. I think those filter held about a quart of oil. The change occurred late 90's maybe even 2000. I remember when the change initially happened LC owners were very skeptical of the new smaller filter. I kept using the old 15601-41010. Not sure if they can still be sourced.15601-44011 aren’t available from your Toyota dealer here in the states. They have to come from Japan. They are only available in Japan.
Oil capacity is 7.2qts for the 2UZ-FE... I went with 7.5 roughly.

I've got the old snap rings on for now until the new ones I ordered arrive. I measured the old snaps at 2.0mm so I know what to order for the replacements since it's a tight fit in there. I did not use anything special for the grease, just some good old-fashioned generic wheel bearing grease. I've been working on 80's and now this 100 for over 12 years now and have learned that you don't have to use the top-of-the-line stuff that is often preached as gospel on here. No offense to those that do. As far as the spindle bushing and needle bearings, they are overlooked by most repair shops when doing a bearing repack during a brake rotor replacement, etc, so any grease you can get in there is better than no grease.
