Took it up over 9500’ with the family until it got too sketchy in the mud and snow- yes snow. Tried out the ATRAC for the first time.View attachment 1980501 New tires can’t come soon enough. This is all within 7 miles from home.

What ap are you running on your phone? I'm looking for something like that.

Installed new hood struts, planning on fixing a burned out rear taillight bulb, and discovered the AHC works. Deciding whether to get new tires.

Bought some Sway-A-Way torsion bars for the LX. Hopefully the install won’t be too bad!View attachment 1979739
Pb blast for a few days prior. Including the TB splines on both sides. I use a little anti seize on the splines when I reinstall. Makes reindexing and removing much much easier the next time. Dirt and grim love getting up in there

It’s the free version of “US Topo Maps” me May upgrade to the pro version for our upcoming monthlong trip. You get a free trail of it that tracks avg. speed, total drive, and you can drop breadcrumbs to find your way back, but that all drops off after 3 trips. I think the upgrade is about $12-$13. Far cheaper than a purpose built GPS.

Cleaned and conditioned all the leather with Lexol cleaner and conditioner. The seats weren't terribly dirty, but definitely needed conditioning. Still in very good shape for 18 years and 200,000 miles.

Installed rear spacers and turned the tension bar bolt two turns in the front. Also, installed @TRAIL TAILOR sway bar links.

I need to do the links as well, how many banana job was this?
Replacing the sway bar links was a half a banana at most.

Last weekend did the Dobinsons spring install on my 100.

Yesterday did an AHC-ectomy using my old TBs and sprigs on a friend’s ‘06.

That job made last week’s spring swap look like a walk in the park. We did it without cutting holes in the rear floor, but there were moments we certainly thought about it....

She got a whole mess of AZ pinstriping yesterday... up in the mountains above roosevelt lake.
Nice! Gives it character. Here's how mine looks now

@UTadventures are you running this for gps signal, Amazon product ASIN B00E65TNYE
If not, highly recommended. Attaches via bluetooth and run gps without cell signal.

Mind sharing what products you used?

sure.
this is a 3-stage wet sand process and 2-stage compound buffing.
started off with 800 grit sand paper for 5 mins with minimal pressure (stopping every 30 seconds to clean them off and reapply water - using spray bottle)

next is a 1500 grit sand paper, same process for 5 mins with minimal pressure (stopping every 30 seconds to clean them off and reapply water - using spray bottle)

last is a 2000 grit sand paper, same process for 5 mins with minimal pressure (stopping every 30 seconds to clean them off and reapply water - using spray bottle)

for compounds i used Chemical Guys V-series,
-started with V32 (aggressive compund)
-finished it off with V38 (best for final polish)

lastly the ceramic coat I used was Avalon King.
Ceramic Coat flashed in approx 60 seconds since here in Vegas the air is really dry, buffed it off using a clean microfiber towel and did it for 9 times - 9 coats. why 9 coats - this is part of the front/fascia area and is really bound to get hits from rocks, pebbles, sand particles etc from daily driving - might as well overkill it. lol.

i took my time doing this, took me roughly 2 and a half hours for the whole thing start to finish.

Let us know if you feel it makes a huge difference in handling. I'm debating buying the fronts (I already have some Man A Fire rears that I have not installed yet).
I will update once I have a few more miles on this setup. Since the once I took out were in like new condition, I haven't really noticed any improvements in handling or ride.
My wallet is about $200 lighter - so there's some weight savings!
