Used her to tow a 20,000lbs Napa truck loaded with crap inside, someone parked at my shop illegally and I pulled it to the next parking lot.

It did it with ease, had the big truck in neutral and i pulled it 100 yards and dumped the truck at Fresh World lol, their problem now. We tried to call a tow truck to tow it away but it's too big, need a commercial grade one.

Installed new exhaust over the weekend. Didn't want anything making new noise or searching for magical horsepower [though the DT headers are interesting]. My muffler itself was rusted through and leaking exhaust, going into the cabin at idle. It was time to replace.

Haven't seen it mentioned here, but did see this $200 exhaust system mentioned on Youtube:
Amazon: 100% New Middle Rear Muffler for Toyota Land Cruiser for Lexus LX470 4.7L 98-07 (link didn't work)
Youtube: LC100 $200 Exhaust for details.

Also grabbed some hardware: [Gaskets and clamps are otherwise included in the above]
Amazon: Walker 36502 Exhaust Bolt Kit (link didn't work)

Once busted through the rusted to s*** nuts, it bolted up very easily. The sound is ... nada. Perfect. While it's not mandril bent and fancy - it does the job and keeps me under budget on something I don't care about otherwise.

Passing it along for those in a similar boat as me. Time will tell on longevity, but for the price I can buy more than 2 for cost of one OEM or similar and still be ahead.

@Da Hundo

What are the specifications of the AFE exhaust?

Dad surprised me with a Dissent Front Bumper for my LX for college graduation! Can't wait to get it put on the truck!
That's a cool Dad. Get it put on sounds like a memorable father son /daughter project after graduation Congrats!. I could be a cool dad if I sabotage Fortnite by pulling a connection wire and be the hero that fixes it and it wouldn't cost me anything

I modified a f-150 aFe 49-43011-B Mach Force XP 3" Stainless Steel with Black Tip Cat-Back Exhaust, all you need to do is cut and weld the excess but I just used the hardware it came with, I have more pictures in my build thread

Oi, well I gave it a good go this weekend/week and well everything of course took way longer than I anticipated, which was emasculating and frustrating. Lots of lessons learned, lots of new things discovered--some good, some bad. Start with the bad I guess, I opened the boot on the inner tie tod (which the FSM calls the rack end) and it had power steering fluid in it :(, so thats leaking, heard mixed things on replacing the bushing. LC shops seem to say you really just have to replace the whole rack, but I've also heard people say they've used AT-205 or Lucas Oil Leak Stop in the power steering fluid and have had no issue for the next several thousand miles. If you see the puddle in the pic, thats the passenger side by the tire where I wasnt even working (though I was hitting the brakes to turn the car on and turn the steering wheel) my brake line is leaking at the mount. On top of that I dropped the drivers side caliper like an idiot and now its leaking too. Couldnt get anyone to overnight brake lines so I went ahead and just ordered stainless steel brake lines which will be here Tuesday.
Now on to the good stuff. Check out that tie rod pic, here I am using my discount on Moog parts thinking I'm probably getting inferior stuff and boom! right there on the outer tie rod, 555 made in Japan, the OE maker. I've heard of this happening with Beck Arnley stuff, but for some reason I didnt know that I also get the discount on Beck Arnley cause theyre owned by the same company. So idk if thats roullete whether you 555 or actual moog or beck arnley but hey, yeah me. Well while i was down I saw the stabilizer bar link bushing were completely gone, Amazon had some Moog ones to me next day for free, so that's good now. Also found out I had play in the hub flange, which is what the loud clunking noise was every time I put the car in Drive or Reverse. So got those in (OEM) from Slee with gasket. Driver's side is done now: new shock, UCA, LCA, inner and outer tie rod, and now stabilizer bar link and hub flange as well. Also got the oil change and oil filter, and air filter, but never got to transmission filter and gasket. Never even touched passanger, hopefully tonight and tomorrow morning and knock out the rear shocks as well. But man, am I tired. Also being down to one car and being dropped off at work by my wife sucks.

Bought it a couple weeks ago but no time to do much until this weekend. Got a key off Ebay because it came with 1 key with no remote and 1 key attached to a broken remote. $25 for the key, $2 to have it cut.

Took the running boards off today. Guess it took 30-45 minutes (I'm not very mechanically inclined). Took the passenger side off first before I realized "Oh, I don't have to take the boards off the brackets first; I can just pull the brackets...d'oh!!!!"

Opened the hood to check the heater Tees...."Heyyyy...what's that stuff seeping out?" Went to pull them out and they turned to pulverized wet mush. Ordered the metal ones off Amazon.

Got the link for this?
