Thanks. Yeah I really dislike the single stage paints... I figured I didn’t want to go too fast with the rotary or over compound it. I finished it up today! There’s still some scratches but I didn’t burn through any paint. I put some showroom glaze on it but didn’t have time to wax it before dark. Took me every bit of 20 hours. The oxidation was pretty extreme. It will get waxed in the am. It turned out so good esp for how horrible the paint was and my first paint correction

The pics look really good. White can really pop when it is well shined up. Ha ha and the oxidization seems to return WAY to quickly! At least we don't have to worry about clear coat failures though... Well done on a great rejuvenation!

Put the snow tires on the wife’s 2006 and tried out the TRAC and VSC systems. This truck is a beast in the snow!

Took it and the boy hunting, first wild Chukar and a Sage hen. Great weekend

Purchased an LX470 to go with the 105 and 80. Sadly the 80 looks like she will be going :( .

Dry testing the new awning. No complaints. May pick up some beefier legs. Will come in handy down in Schafer Canyon on our Moab trips each summer. We don’t camp out there but pull off the trail for an hour or so to cook some grub.

'Ole Crusty's wench decided she was tired of being rode hard and put up wet. The winch is 14 years old, I installed some cheap chinese solenoids about a year and a half ago. Replaced those with some Warn ones this time. Cables needed refreshed and in that process broke the "A" terminal inside the motor. :bang:

Due to the age of the winch I was basically forced to buy a new motor assembly unless I wanted to wait weeks and spend more than the cost of a new motor from Warn for parts to fix the original.

Good news, they've come a decent ways since the original was built in Brazil. New steel cable also, works amazing.

Usually I head for the hills on Columbus Day weekend, but both me and my little one are itching to swim in the surf and surf-forecast.com reports that the Atlantic in Delaware is 74 degrees today, so I am packing now to go south so we can camp for the long weekend. That husband of mine is doing a lot of work on it when we get back...I'm good at putting miles on it.

Fitted some D2S HID projectors that I had laying around with a pair of fully potted Denso ballast/ignitor boxes to the bottom of the LX470 light housings.
I took it for a spin tonight and all I can say is wow! The light output is amazing.

Since I bought my LX, the door panels have rattled and squeaked, which drives me insane.

I took off the panels today and the area where the panels rattle and squeak (by the arm rest) were already well padded. I thought there may have been some plastic rubbing against the inner door, causing the noise. I figured out that the noise was coming from the door panel edges. There is some black foam around the sides and bottom of the door and I guess mine had just deteriorated through the years. I lined it with some felt tape and the noise seems to have gone away. Since the panels were off, I also replaced the speaker covers since they were pretty beat.

Now the bad news... The window switch trim was a f...cking PITA to take off. I read the tutorials and also watch a few videos so I knew how to do it, but wow... I cannot get the driver side trim to sit flush after reinstalling and I managed to chip off a piece of the passenger side trim when I was removing it. I know that will drive me crazy so I am going to replace it. I have a feeling the trim won't be cheap... :crybaby:

I'll have my shop change the trim next week when I go for an oil change. Hopefully the can snap the drivers side trim in place so it sits flush like it did before.

Amen on the drivers switch plate! Since I work at a dealership I had one of the techs snap it back in for me.

Upgraded both high (Phillips 9005 X-treme Vision) and low (PIAA 11655 H1 Xtreme White Plus High Performance Halogen Bulb).

Spent about 8 hours on clean up, leather conditioning, polishing and waxing the beast Thursday. Popped out for recovery supplies for Tray Mountain ride tomorrow.

Well guys I finally pulled the trigger on mass producing all the pieces for my sway links.

100% CNC lathe, cut and bent from 4130 Chromoly. YES! every piece is now CrMO; U-brackets, rings and shafts. As always the ring bushings are OEM Toyota and the bar bushings are polyurethane.

NO PRICE INCREASE, just making a product better for you all.
