I ended the saga of the boiling fuel (and subsequent dashboard short). Found a $60 cluster from another '99 hundy, installed it, half the gauges didn't work, freaked out a little, read somewhere that the connector is really hard to get on the first try. Second try was worse than the first. Urge to kill rose. Third try was marginally better. Finally figured out how to get my hands back behind and, bam, one fully functional instrument cluster. Fuel gauge, speedo, everything.

Nicely done!

Two items to note: 1 be really careful with a rotary around the edges of panels and sharp creases as you can burn through the paint. 2 the white on the hundred is a single stage paint (no clear coat) so be careful not to take too much off as you can burn through to the primer if you do. It is best to just leave most of the deeper scratches because of this. Ha ha one of the previous owners of my car got a little over zealous and there is now both of the aforementioned issues with my paint.

Thanks. Yeah I really dislike the single stage paints... I figured I didn’t want to go too fast with the rotary or over compound it. I finished it up today! There’s still some scratches but I didn’t burn through any paint. I put some showroom glaze on it but didn’t have time to wax it before dark. Took me every bit of 20 hours. The oxidation was pretty extreme. It will get waxed in the am. It turned out so good esp for how horrible the paint was and my first paint correction

Nice trailer!

Anywhere to wheel / off-road there?

We only had time for mountain biking since it was a 1 night trip. There are seemingly endless miles of trails which are great for quads, dirt bikes and mountain biking. I'm not sure about wheeling though as its flat terrain and sandy!

The NJ Pine Barrens is enormous. Not much in the way of elevation change (unless you know where to go) but plenty of mud, sugar sand, super-tight trails and lots of water crossings. Definitely worth exploring.

So you can drive your 100 out there?

I'm asking bc i have been to other NJ state forest to wheel - was greeted by a friendly ranger who told me it was prohibited

Yes. You cannot legally go "off-trail," since a lot of the area is sensitive, but you can spend a couple of days driving through Colliers Mills WMA, Wharton State Forest, Brendan T. Byrne State Forest etc. and only scratch the surface. I can't speak for other parts of the state, but this is the case in the Pine Barrens. Here's some footage of some of my favorite spots:

YES! Is that a Winchester 1200?

Browning Citori base 12g 30". It's my bash around shotgun. My gems are the Blazer F16 32" 12g and Perazzi MX2000/10 35" 12g.

Nice selection! Those are some serious gems for sure. My husband is taking me to the shooting range today. It was supposed to be a surprise date haha.

Checking brake pads due to some grinding noise. Didn’t find the gremlin but noticed my rear sway bar links needed extensions. So, I cut an welded some 2” extension pieces. Now all 4 are good.

My sway bar bushings aren’t trashed?? What are you talking about? :rimshot:

I know there are off roads for mixed use incl trucks as several are listed on the Belleplain State Forest trail legend

Yeah, the Perazzi cost more than my LX. But, it's an incredible "trap" shooter. I have a couple of 20g pumps (870, Mosberg and such) and single barrel, break action Remington 10g that is an absolute monster to shoot as well as a Browning Stalker 10g. Those two will put some serious pellets on a target. Had a Citori XT adjustable trap, but sold that recently.

Swapping out all sway bar end links and bushings on our 129K ‘03. They’re not too bad but I enjoy some light wrenching after the office in the evenings. Save the hard wrenching for weekends. Ha.

I’ve got that Citori 12ga in 26in. Kicks like a mule and fun as hell to shoot!

Yeah, those base model Citoris are fantastic little guns. Great field gun. Reliable and bomb-proof. I run the extended Browning Midas chokes (Full top/ improved mod bottom). Super tight and consistent patterns. It's about 1.25lbs heavier than any of my other over/unders.
