Tough Dogs went in this week - 53mm fronts and 45mm adjustable rears. The cruiser sits so much better now. Haven't had a chance to wheel it yet but on road it feels firmly planted, especially during turns. The ride is noticeably firmer but then again I only had 20 year old springs and shocks to compare it to. Apologies for the poser shot.

Where did you get the tough dogs? Only place I’ve seen them offered say they are sold out.

Picked up the camper from it's winter slumber. Time to start relaxing and enjoying my summer!

I think for the first time since 2006, I cleaned the rear hatch area pretty well. Pulled the main gasket that is attached to the body, cleaned it while hanging from a ladder while dipped in a bucket. Then cleaned all surrounding areas, including underneath the plastic tailgate spanner. I replaced the OEM tailgate spanner screws which were corroded and rusty with stainless screws. I'm not sure what or how it became that nasty but I'm glad I cleaned under there! Reinstalled the main gasket and cleaned the panels that mate to the gasket as well. Finally cleaned the secondary gaskets and there mating surfaces. Getting ready for the PNW rainy season-

Also did the same grime and crud cleaning inside the fuel tank fill cap door. Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest smile!

Finished by installing a motion sensing rechargeable led light on the rear hatch door. I got the idea from @tbisaacs. I'm certain I spent more money on various mounting tape and adhesive products than I did on the actual light from amazon. I was not able to get anything to stick to the plastic panels. I ended up drilling and countersinking the metallic strip and screwed the magnetic panel to the plastic panel which tolerates the slight radius of the plastic but still allows me to remove the light from the magnetic strip in order to charge it via usb without the light falling from its home everytime I shut the rear hatch.

Jason @reevesci at trail tailor I believe is the only place in US to get them. Just contact him and he will let you know whats up. I bet he has more coming in soon.

Finally got a new muffler and tailpipe. Went with the stainless steel Walker. My resonator was shot as well but did not want to replace that. I had a shop install the muffler and fabricate/bend a tailpipe up/over the axle and out the back. Sounds good but kind of miss the rumble of a shot muffler and no resonator.......

Put new 285 KO2's on last week. Bought some beat up LX470 wheels on clist for $100 and gave them the rattle can treatment. PO had the worst aftermarket 18" wheels with Terra Grapplers which i sold t a local tire shop.
Also removed running boards and am waiting on ironman lift and bumper to arrive early this week.

Dumb question...Are you running wheel spacers with those LX wheels and the 285's? I'm new to the 100's and I'm about to go with 285's on my stock LX wheels. It doesn't look like they'll rub, just wanting a second opinion...

Started tacking my semi-DIY sliders together. I picked up a 69" kit from www.xo-fab.com. You can get them with our without the bump out. 69" seemed to be a good length for our trucks. They are .120" DOM, all bent and notched. Did a little cleanup on the weld areas to remove some slag and burrs from the plasma cut.

Working to figure out how I want to mount them. I'm not thrilled with the u-bolt/bracket (especially given how rusty my truck is). I also want them to be easily removable for repairs/paint. Potentially doing a slip-lock cantilevered mount. Need to draw it up and see how it feels.

Just tacked together so far so i can make sure everything lines up nice.

Went to amber fog lights on the white one. Luna is on a low-budget allocation right now, as we get closer to painting the Melon! I like cheap mods that work out! :)

Yesterday around lunch time, I got the dreaded "Dad, I was involved in a traffic accident" phone call, while the kid was 4 hours away from home, visiting his girlfriend.

The bad news: I get to see if our insurance company's "accident forgiveness" is real.

The good news: The kid is fine. The other driver is fine. The ARB front bumper just paid for itself, other than some minor scuffing on the powdercoat (on ARB), his vehicle is fine.

Our insurance company has been kinda funny, so far I've received 2 phone calls, and 2 emails (in 24 hours), about an urgent need to take my kids TLC to a body shop to get the damage inspected. I sent a picture of the front end of his vehicle, and I think they finally "get it". I guess it could be worse, it's a whole lot better than if they just ignored us.
