Finally put on my Slee/Spidertrax 1.25" spacers. Been gathering dust in the garage for ~6 months because I wanted to wait until after HIH8 because I'm still a noob and I was concerned about how narrow the trails might be (this turned out to be an UNfounded concern btw).

I really do like the wider look. I always walked back to my truck not happy with how tucked in the stock offset looked. Ride feels the same to me so far (only ~150 miles). Trail testing this weekend.

Man, that thing just looks so good! Clean and simple. And that color is gorgeous! I look forward to seeing the roof rack.
Thanks! It's definitely a 10 footer, up close it's much rougher than it seems in photos. I have been taking steps to restore some of the paint issues but it's slow going. I do love the green though!

Doing Dynamat right now.

Did you notice any difference when driving?

I’m thinking of doing mine since I still have a bunch of leftover Dynamat but debating if it’s even necessary. This truck is so quiet as is.

Working on some ideas for a new DIY roof rack like I did on my Tacoma.

I seriously spent SO much time this afternoon going through most of the pages on your rack design on Tacoma World (again) trying to get ideas for a homebrew rack system for my hundy. Can't wait to see what you come up with here!

Haha, thanks man. I'm probably going to start moving ahead on it next week while I'm on vacation.
I went ahead and bought some low pro roof brackets from Trail Taylor and I'll build off of that. I have a few designs in mind but will have to test fit to see how they fit and which will be better suited for my needs.

Wow looks great, can't wait to see it on a hundy.

You should definitely start a build thread here at Mud for it! I'll subscribe  and hopefully within a few months be contributing towards it. I toyed with the idea of insetting a rack/frame like yours into the stock rails using t-bolts—I'm not planning on having a ton of weight up there. But I've since moved towards the low pro brackets you mentioned from Trail Tailor instead.

No cool pictures but did I order some Denso 673-1303 coils and some Denso SK20R11 iridium plugs. Hopefully I will get them installed sometime next week as I believe the originals are still installed and currently sitting at 136k miles. I've been getting a slight vibration / buzz felt in the pedals at certain RPM's. It's usually in the 1400-1500 and the 2500-2700 ranges. Nothing bad at all but since I've tuned into it, I can't get it out of my head. It has done this since I purchased it about 2 months and 5k miles ago.

I was thinking of starting with a piece of unistrut as tracks and build up from there but the angle of the rivenut currently in the roof angle outwards slightly. Jason, already did the hard part of compensating for the angles with the design of his brackets so it just made sense to start there. I did shave off .5in of both sides so it would sit a little lower. I'll definitely start a thread once I formulate a better plan. Even on the taco the idea came from the look of the front runner and the prinsu, I love that low profile look. We'll see how it goes. Will probably do some mocking up this weekend.

This week I took care of some maintenance items. I had the engine oil, transmission fluid, transfer case fluid, front/rear diff fluid and spark plugs changed.

I'm at 110k miles now and if I want the rig to last me another 400k, I have to treat her right. Preventative maintenance! Preventative maintenance! Preventative maintenance!

Did some exploring in my new 100. Before heading out for the day I replaced the heater t’s in the hotel parking lot. Ran perfect but the desert terrain and 110+ degree heat was too much for the old tires. I did well over a hundred miles off pavement. 30 miles from the closest road the tire came apart. I was in a pretty remote area of kofa wildlife refuge. Fortunately the tool kit and spare were all in place and accounted for unlike my last two 100s. I was in a sketchy spot when the tire went so even with the bottle jack fully maxed out I actually had to dig a hole with a rock to get the inflated tire mounted.
