Well, decided to go ahead and cut some holes in my fender......

Had the snorkel since December and held off for as long as I could. Not really fear as much as laziness. Special shout out to @phi1osopher who couldn't have been more helpful and generally awesome! Post install beer at Rentsch Brewery to rehydrate on a lovely 98 degree day.

One thing I noticed that I found interesting: I had previously been running around 110-115 degrees on intake temperature according to my Scangauge II on similar days (been 90+ here for 2 weeks). Post install, my intake temperature in 90+ temps stays between 100-105. Found that particularly curious. Not necessarily scientific, but it seems to validate that the raised intake does lower temps by a decent amount.

Took the truck out for a shakedown run with the new Iron Man foam cell pro shocks. It is shocking the difference between them and the 0ME shocks replaced. It reminds me of the truck before I start ruining it with a lifts, wheels, and bumpers and everything else.
It completely took the edge off the truck and was great on the trails especially when I aired down. For those on the fence. Do it.
The truck is a little less controlled on the highway, but the trade off is priceless.
Once again more like a stock truck.
My passengers noticed the difference.
Pictures at JW Corbett WMA.
Which is just about completely flooded but still found enough to exercise the old girl.

Fine looking ride right there! I just installed the foam cell pros a few weeks ago and am equally impressed with them. What lights are you running on the bullbar?

Ebay specials. Actually got them from a buddy who wasn’t using them and they replaced some old HIDs I had.
I will never pay for expensive lights again. They work great. And when they break, no heartache for the wallet.

Thanks! I've been eyeballing the Primelux 8" 160w (99 each on Amazon) and these look kinda like them as far as I can tell. Is that the same brand?

Added to family... overpaid but immaculate.

Best thing about these is they came with 2 rock covers. One for spot and one for flood.
I use one of each.

That makes me SO glad I went ahead and ordered mine from Trail Tailor!

they look very similar to the ones I'm running which are these https://amzn.to/2LZsSpo
they are mostly all the same. I'm also running a wiring harness that made things easier for me. there's more info my build thread below.

Did you remove the old leather or does this just cover it up? Looks great. I may have to do this and replace the leather cover I got...
No leather removal, just sew it on, with patience. Two hours plus or minus. I almost bought a new steering wheel, but this finish and look is very acceptable. Not a fan of the wheelskin look, personally.

I agree, I have the wheelskin now and I don't like how thick it is and how it goes around the lugs. What I have been really wanting is a solution where I remove the old leather and replace it... looks like it doesn't exist :/

Not sure if you’d have any interest, but the eBay wood wheel has he really great for me. The quality is very impressive.

I do have my old wheel still, leather isn’t ripped at all, in the olive color for the tan interior. If anyone has an interest in purchasing.

How much are you asking? I'll PM you

I added a license plate frame because the museum is that awesome.

@cruiserdan, thanks for taking time out of your morning to show us around and answer questions, it was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. If anyone is going through SLC, you need to find time to visit this place.

I paid 200 for the eBay wheel, not sure if they are still floating around at that price. I know there’s some at $300.

I shot you a reply.
