Might be my favorite LX yet !!! Are you still on AHC or did you remove it ?
Yeah, I removed my AHC last year. I’m currently running ARB torsion bars, 863s in the back and Iron Man gas shocks.

Im doing front and rear Dissent bumpers that should hopefully ship next week. I’m hoping the 863s work well with them.

I’ve got a lot to get sorted out before HIHs but I’m excited!

Looking forward to the further transformation......

More Ocho prep. Ridge Grapplers in 285/75-17. Narrower and shorter than advertised. I'm good with narrower, but was really hoping they were as close to 33.85" as advertised. Solid 33" instead. Regardless, putting the 864s back on this weekend as well.

Finally got a car cover. It’s too big to fit in The garage and I barley drive it now days. Went the cheap route. $50 on amazon. I was spending $25 every other week for a car wash. If I can at least cut that in half that would be huge!

Have you used car covers before? Not to rain on your parade but I have had some bad luck with them. I lived in an area that didn't see much rain but had steady winds. The cover would flap in the breeze driving any dust or dirt that was on my bike (brand new CBR929, back in 2000) back into the paint / plastic causing small swirl marks. They were not deep and the tank (only painted part, rest was plastic) would buff out fine but since the bike was brand new, I wasn't a happy camper. The felt that was put on the cover to protect the plastic windshield would hold extra dirt so my windshield got a lot relatively quickly.

Dude .. Those look perfect. They fill in the wheel well nicely.

What spring are you currently running ?

Nah they look perfect!

@jlm43 I have not! I don't get much wind or breeze where its parked. its seems pretty tight on there. The main goal is to keep the dirt / dust off since its black. The finish is decent right now, but It's been wheeled hard, so I have all kinds of small trail scratches. Hoping for the best! I'll update you in a month or 2.

I've been getting some minor but annoying rubbing of my fender liner ever since I went to aftermarket wheels and 33" tires. Last night I did some trimming. No more rubbing but I was wondering if I should do something to try to cover this up?

Sorry for the bad pic, bit of an awkward angle and it was getting dark.

I live in Utah, they don't use a ton of salt here but there is some on the roads in the winter. Fine to leave that as is or should I try to come up with a way to cover that up?

What about a little minimal expanding spray foam, sand it smooth and paint it black ? Make sure you have drainage in that area if you try the spray foam.

Slee Heavies in there right now.

Removed the original shocks and springs and installed OEM all around and 865's in the rear. 202k on the originals and they were toast. Loving the new ride!

Went for an alignment yesterday and tire rotation. Found out I need a new lower ball joint, both seals are leaking on the t-case (output) and I need rear brakes. oh the joys of owning a 1999 Cruiser with 247k on the clock lol

What size tires are you running? This is the route Im thinking of going. Got any pics?

SPC UCA's followed by a killer alignment from Denver Springs & Suspension. Now all the wash is gone from the front end.
