Picked up a new to me LX470 on April19th 2017 with 98610 Miles. One owner from GA traded in local to me.
Lots of Lexus maintenance record. Super clean. The 3 passengers doors where tight like they where never used.
Driver seat shows little wear. Previous owner must weight less than 150lbs...
CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN.
Gave it a week shake down run.
4/21 98736miles replace the rain sensor tape (since the sensor was just hanging there) part# 89944-42010 $15
4/25 98880miles added 1lt of AHC to prep for flush part# 08886-81221 $11
4/26 98901miles Replaced and flush the AHC fluid and system part#08886-81221 x2.5liters $30.
Removed the rear overhead entertainment system ( It was going in the garbage because of an annoying rattle when
I'm driving down the road. After taking it all apart I found the main mount with four loose screws. So now it is no longer
making any annoying noise. So it get a 2nd chance to stay in the rig.
4/28 99028miles Replaced wheels and tires with 2000 LC 16" wheels sand blasted and rattled can gun metal grey.
And 4x new BFG All Terrain KO2's 285/75/16 balanced and road forced.
4/29 99050miles Installed US Spec BT45TOY Bluetooth adapter $132
And today 4/30 99070 I pulled all the AHC height sensors. Took it apart and clean the contacts. And flipped the gold springs inside.
My AHC works fine in N and Low mode fine. I get an intermittent issues going into high and getting stuck in high. Comfort mode, sport modes sometime gives me an issue on hi way speed it would raise. And the front sometime would raise higher than the rear. After doing the flsuh and bleed, it all worked well in normal and low. So this leads be to believe its a sensor issue. So today I found the driver's side sensor had a broken gold spring (one of three) inside the height sensor. The pass and rear sensor was mint and showed no water intrusion or any visible wear on the contacts. So one new sensor is on order as of tonight.
LX going to replace the LC 100 series, and the 80 series is also going. Time to down size.
Freshly refurb 2000 LC 16" rims and BFG AT Ko2 285/75/16's Mounted, blanced and road forced.
Test drive with new kicks

Went and checked out some trails in Oconee National Forest. First time out without AHC and I'm LOVING IT! Found a little mud and even got some atrac action...

Thanks! Excuse the dirty shoe marks, but that is the Spector Off Road seat cover www.sor.com. I have 1st, 2nd row, and center console done. Material is a very thick, durable canvas and they fit like a glove. Before we had them my wife and I were paranoid about sliding over and ripping up the seat cushion bolster, especially with riveted jeans. I wanted peace of mind and bomb proof seat covers that I could easily remove and wash when needed. The only downsides I've noticed (besides cost) is that they don't breathe as well as standard cloth seats and they do squeak in certain places on the leather. I could probably put some felt underneath if it really bothered me, but I just turn up the AC and the radio and life is good again.

Stock AHC is plenty capable and I'm still learning how to be a better driver. There's definitely times where I wish I had a bit more lift, but AHC makes working on the truck easier (lower it for engine work, raise it for working underneath). Plus, I wouldn't have been able to drive through this spot without dropping to N
Man, I miss those trails. Love Browns CampStock AHC is plenty capable and I'm still learning how to be a better driver. There's definitely times where I wish I had a bit more lift, but AHC makes working on the truck easier (lower it for engine work, raise it for working underneath). Not having as much fun as you guys! Got my parts in to do my rear brake job this weekend. Rotors, pads, park brake shoes and hardware.

Random Pixel Generator
Changed all of the coil packs to new Denso. While I was at it I changed the spark plugs to Denso Iridiums TT's. Not even a one banana job... maybe just the peel.
Did the electric motor swap for the rear passenger door lock actuator. Saved a few hundred bucks doing it like that. Didn't take pictures, too busy swearing at 1) the window switch panel (that clip is a pita), 2) the yellow clip for the linkage (another pita) 3) the clamshell, I was frustrated to the point where after using a heat gun I used a knife and hammer to pop it open like I was slaying a vampire.
Putting it all back together only took about 15 minutes though. Trying to be careful to not wound the interior bits, and keep the plastic intact I think adds a whole banana to the job.
Ordered CV clamps from PFrans (still haven't finished the lights)
Ordered mud flap delete from Phil.
Finally found the plug to hook up the remote for the winch that came with it (Warn XD9000i).
Heavy hitter on my list is figuring out what to do with this DVD system. Its a hazard to the head, it's big, and in the age of tablets, we aren't going to use it.

Forgot what i ordered for the hundo but they all showed up at once, mailman left the crate at my house too, nice little surprise when i got home from work
