Noticed my bullbar indicators weren't working sitting at a light looking in the reflection of the car in front of me. Couldn't imagine it was both bulbs for as little use as they get. Turned out my sealing job with electrical tape was pretty poor and the connectors were all corroded to hell. Pulled them completely apart, sanded them back to copper, and have lights again. Of course, resealed them with electrical tape because I want to do this again in 8 years.

@reevesci are the holes dimpled die? my eyes are playing tricks on me. Cool design.

I'm a complete moron when it comes to metal, I will be taking classes next year at the Crucible to learn how to play with metal and fire.

Been eyeballing Front Runner's fold down table but couldn't figure out how to make it work in my 100, so set about building one myself from bits I had around the garage as a sort of proof of concept.

Components:

-Old plywood (cut to size with a notch to allow access to the fridge slide handle)
-Cheap piano hinge attached to the trim on the fridge slide using existing holes and hardware
-Straps made from picture hanging wire with ring wire terminals on both ends, covered with shrink tubing
-Small cabinet door latch to hold the table upright

No holes drilled in the truck, fridge or drawer system.

Will test this out on an upcoming trip to Mexico and if successful, I'll get better materials and make it more permanent. Fingers crossed.

Convinced the girls washing the new land cruiser would be fun ;)

Added Dynamite Xtreme to all four doors (inner and outer shells) and removed the OEM grill cloth / painted the plastic speaker grills. Looks much better, imo...

What paint did you use? I am pulling my doors apart now, I like your idea.

Looks real good. I am totally gonna steal this paint idea. I think that is the most cost effective AND appealing way to deal with those raggedy looking speaker covers.

Rustoleum 'Paint for Plastic' - satin black. Easy like pie, looks so much better than the cloth grills!

Thanks, any pics of the dynamat?
Nah, too busy (and covered with tar) to stop and take pics, but I basically covered the outer skin (there's lots of access from the inner skin) and the inner skin about 75% each. Noticeably more solid sound when the doors shut and the lower midrange of the speakers is greatly improved.

@perrobravo I have a concern... Have you added fail safes to the slide on your outback fridge slide? I'd hate for that table to be full of stuff and the fridge slide back.

As an alternative to a "table" I used a section of 5/16" Richlite (cutting board material) cut to fit the drawer opening. I used rare earth magnets glued to the underside so it stayed in place on the drawer edges. Easily removed to access drawer content. Stayed put during transit.
