Replaced the small bands on the inner cv boots with pfran's hose clamps. Squeezed out some old grease and used a needle attachment to pump in some fresh new moly grease. Piece of cake.

Also swapped out my upper control arms in anticipation of some incoming Icon long travel shockies. Not sure if it's goofy or good, but I found some desk cord grommets that fit the Nitro ball joint cup perfectly.

I might have missed a LC meet up in Albany, but I spent all weekend in the ADKs at Lake Durant.

We found a bunch of newly hatched dragonflies on our PFDs which my 5 year old daughter placed in tall grass so their wings could dry. She loved checking out the nymph skeletons.

I have finally mastered the art of putting up my ARB awning on my own, so I'm pretty proud of that. That thing is heavy!

I got closer to a loon this weekend than I ever have, alone, in my sea kayak. What a treat.

I am also finally accepting the fact that I don't have fun female friends and would always rather hang out with the guys. I guess I've known that for awhile, but maybe it's time to admit it.

Have I said recently how much I love my LC? I had some weight behind it this weekend and it just tows so well, never seems to hunt for gears the way my 4R did. And with the 3rd row removed, the back is cavernous. It makes getting out of town so easy!

First oil change for me this weekend... Went w/ Mobile 1 5W 30 and the bigger M1 209 filter. Simple process with removal of the skid plate and the oil filter access panel. Slightly different from my Series 80. Would be interested in knowing how folks simply get the 7.2 amount of oil. What a difference in the feel of the engine with the new oil (not sure what was in before). Also, installed a new OEM antenna mast.
 
Took the new hundy out on its first family adventure to the Painted Hills & John Day river. Awesome time;)

Changed the oil (M1 5W30, Bosch filter). New cabin filters. New rear wiper blade.
After replacing the front portion of the rear AC line, I found that the aft AC line also has a leak so this part has been ordered. Determined to have cold air this summer.
While I was under the car, I noticed that the front skid plate may be missing a couple of bolts. Could be the source of a rattle.
Also noticed a dangling heat shield. The bolt on the clamp holding it to the cat conv had come loose.

Installed the Thorley headers that have been sitting in my garage for about 9 months. I decided to do the headers while doing the 180k timing belt service, which I think made it slightly easier on the driver's side (better access to the front lower nuts).
Some notes/recommendations for anyone putting Thorleys on;
1) The O2 sensors are in different positions and the connectors will not reach the stock mating connector locations, so start figuring out how to re-route the harnesses before getting the headers in;
2) I was able to access most of the manifold nuts using lots of extensions and universal joints, but your life will be much easier if you have a ratcheting 14mm wrench;
3) On the DS, be sure to start all of the nuts before snugging any of them down at all, otherwise you may not be able to get one of the lower nuts on.
4) Be sure to double-check for adequate clearance between the headers and any adjacent hoses, tubes and harnesses (especially the re-routed O2 sensor wiring).

My local autozone was running a deal for 30 some dollars for a 5 quart jug of M1 extended performance 5w30 and $8.99 towards the oil filter. I ended up buying two of the specials (2-5qt jugs and 2 M1 209 filters) for about $75. I poured one of the 5 quarts and half of the other. So now I have 2.5 quarts left and an oil filter and will only need one 5qt jug to do the next change.

How's the drive with them -- feel any difference. Bunch of people argue for and against wheel spacers -- I like the look it provides -- but at the end of the day, performance is just as critical. I would like to gather more data from the field from those who actually have them on. Check out the youtube video -- found his explainations interesting --

I'm thinking of buying thorley headers too. Is there enough slack in the factory harness to reroute the o2 connectors?

I've had my Spidertrax on for about two months (~6k miles) with zero issues. Beat on them rock crawling Hawk Pride in AL, I've honestly forgotten they are there...

Yes, it worked out fine on my 2000, although I was not able to reuse some of the factory brackets, so had to otherwise support the harnesses. Another option may be to splice in 4 or 5 inches of additional wire on the sensors.
 
Installed AHC Override and Bluetooth interface BT45TOY with aux and usb extension to factory cig lighter hole.
 
Installed a new winch rope and fairlead from Southeast Overland today. Also took the new General Grabber AT2's off and put a new set of BGF KO2's on. Both sets were 315/75R16 but the Generals were bigger and I had way too much rubbing up front. They worked great on my 80 but not so much with the 100. I took it out after I left the tire shop and had no rubbing. When you set them side by side, you can see the difference. I hate it because I really like the Generals. Anyone around east Tennesse that needs a set of 315, $600 gets them. I keep looking at them thinking I need to find a rig to put them on.

Beautiful sunny day, kids in school, got my new arb and now drawers gotta go through surgery so the short people in the house can reach in the fridge!

Just purchased JD 1.25" spacers. One step closer to getting the RW wheels on. It's been like building a 5000 piece jigsaw puzzle, just way bigger pieces and few less of them. I suppose I'll need to invest in some tires next :meh:.
