You'll find it hard to stop looking at your Slee rear bar, my wife thinks I'm developing some psychological problems, I tell her it's a car thing.

Think I need to consider powder coating my ARB Sahara bar, to match slee sliders and rear bar, anyone done this?

Haha. I always looked out the window at it. I definitely do it more now with that bumper on it.

I think I've seen a few color matched bumpers schemes. I plan on bedlining the whole truck I just don't know if I want the bumpers to match or not.

View attachment 1262614 Picked up my new 275/70R18 BFG ko2's, mounted them and balanced them and returned the 295/75R16's so they could be sent back to BFG. Took the kiddos down by the river and played around some.

Why are you sending the 16" tires back to BFG?

Removed the engine cover to track down a rattle I was having.....I was wondering what happened to the pliers I used to change the heater t's 2,500miles ago:D

Didn't want to make a dedicated thread for this but if the mods would like I can do that. But looking back at this photo:

I am curious as to what that black wire with the connector in the middle is between the heater tee's? It appears as though its an engine ground wire considering it goes from the engine to the chassis but the other engine ground does not have such connector. Any reason for this?

IMHO, as the hood is one of the few parts that are grounded, and is “easily” removed from the car
they provided a connector for your convenience; (even it would be just as easy to unscrew the bolt).
For electrical noise and interference, it is good engineering to ground the hood.

While you do make a valid point and that would seem to be good engineering, this wire does not bolt to the hood but rather the uppermost part of the firewall. Refer back to the original post where I removed my engine cover and you will see. I disconnected it and there doesn't seem to be any type of sensor or anything inside, just a male to female connector.

Sorry - Next time I will put on my reading glasses ;-) Then I have no clue -

Update: My spare started to split in the same way after a few hundred miles. I returned to discount. The first time they told me they'd never seen anything like it, and that I could warranty them for 90% of what I paid.. When I went back to do that they switched, said it was offroad damage and I was stuck with them. I sent another email to BFG, hopefully they'll take care of it.

Why are you sending the 16" tires back to BFG?

All four tires were doing this throughout the center 3" of tread and then randomly all over the rest of the tire.

Took my 98 to my mechanic because of CEL that won't go away and other shops that when my son had it in SEAttle can't fix. I had all O2 sensors replaced including speed and transmission sensor per diagnosis of shop in SEAttle. Had new brakes including rotors, calipers, CV boots including valve cover gaskets, tranny and differential flush done while the shop had it. Bill over $2100, a week later starter was replaced for another $980. My local mechanic diagnosed it as needing a new ECM so that is being ordered. Now I might just keep it since it is quicker and handles a lot better than the LX even being stock.

What CEL is it giving? Those repairs are way too random/all over the place to be related to one CEL.

Is that BFG KO2? That does not look good. I may need to check mine... Please update us when you hear back from BFG.
