Did you cut the harness? Or do a complete re-wire?

I had a radio shop do it and they suggested cut the harness and bypass the amp. I went with that suggestion. I did loose the rear subwoofer but to be honest the sound is so good that I am not missing it. I love the headunit and can not say enough good about it. the other speaker are all original.

What head unit is that?

Greased both front and rear drive shafts and U-joints all around. Half a banana job and now it rides like a Lexus once again.

Unfortunately my CV boots have sprung a leak and the PS leaking is pretty bad.

Thanks I'm pretty happy with it. This was the third one! finally was happy with the outcome except for one defect. Since its not a "closed" box there is some outward flex on the top since the slides give a little. 500lb locking slides at top and 100lb on the drawer.

Replaced the serpentine belt hoping that might cure the chirp at start up, dang if the new belt isn't making more noise than the old one. The tensioner was really hard to move and stayed in place where ever I moved it. I sprayed some brake cleaner in it to try and get the gunk out and it did free up but I think the tensioner might be done. All of the pulleys spun-rolled easily, no dragging, but I think the tensioner is weak- although it is staying positioned I the correct zone according to the FSM.

Also got around to installing my Ironman Torsion Bars, and replaced the front swaybar bushes and end links. Nothing like crawling around in the garage floor all day- but it was worth it what a difference in ride quality and handling.

In the process I finally got to dust off my beast 3/4" torque wrench to torque the TB torque arm bolts to 165ft lbs.

Painted the center of my body trim with Plasti Dip Aluminum. My 100 spent much of its previous life in a parking lot. The trim, especially the center part, was in terrible condition. Not just faded, but had some black spots where the silver was completely gone. I seriously considered the $700-800 for new trim. The trim now looks 1000 times better. Not perfect, but appropriate for an 11 year old vehicle. If they made a color to match the rest of the trim, I would paint it too. Hoping it holds up for a couple of years at least.

washed my black LC with mineral spirits.... no crap... I was spraying the ceiling of a shopping center bay with KILZ to knock out some old ceiling water stains... had the front & back door open... go out the back and happen to look at my now WHITE LC.... man I had to use a gallon of mineral spirits.... all the glass, roof was the worst... hood... sides even the tires and wheels... man it sucks to be me sometimes.... the sun was hitting it and that white was just baking on...
can you say dumb a z z z z oh well...

A little over 10 days ago, but still worthy......

- Replaced rear shocks [fronts replaces a week before] OEM all round.
- Installed Air Lift 1000
- Replaced fluids in rear diff, transfer case, and front diff with Mobil 1 75-90.
- Fresh Mobil 1 engine oil and Wix filter

The new shocks changed everything. Truck drives like new again. Remarkable difference. Shocks getting old is like the frog getting boiled.

I did my shocks and steering bushings at the same time.... amazing how good it feels...

150k service, cleaned the tb, lubed the drive shaft, replaced radiator hoses and heater core hoses and t's. Then had the front windows and windshield tinted.

Today I installed a new PCV Valve on the LX. I'm not sure if it was entirely necessary but at 221,000 miles and with no record of it's previous replacement, I figured it couldn't hurt.

After struggling to find good placement from my garage door opened it dawned on me to program the Homelink so I did that as well.

I think after a year of ownership and lurking on this forum, I may finally be close to a baselined rig (aside from a recent case of the CV boot leak).

This is the first 100 I've ever owned and really my first of anything in the Toyota family. I love wrenching on my vehicles and had I known how easy it is to work on a Toyota, i would have made the switch long ago.

So far i have;

-Removed the running boards and Harmonic balancer (aka boat anchor) and added front mud flaps
-Flushed the AHC
-Replaces the cabin air filters
-Flushed the transmission and replaced the gear oil in the T-case and Diffs
-Trailer brake controller in the ash tray and a seven pin harness out back
-Raised Spare tire mount mod
-Replaced Cam Seals, TB, WP, pulleys, tensoner, hoses and belts
-Tire rotation
-Spark plugs
-Heater T's
-Starter replacement
-Snorkel
-M1 high mileage with Lucas synthetic oil stabilizer with a Fumoto valve and an air filter
-Pfran interior LEDs
-Lumen PlaZma tail lights and reverse lights
-AHC sensor lift
-Greased the drive shafts and joints with M1 NLGI 2

and saved thousands doing it all myself!

There are so many more things on the list to do but at the moment, I'm so happy with my first 100!
